No Dodger game tonight, so I decided to watch the D'Backs-Mets game, knowing that I'd be entertained by watching the D'Backs get smacked around. So far I haven't been disappointed.

They thought Collmenter was the answer.
It actually sounds like it could be an opportunity for some pitching rich team to grab one of their position players in a quick desperation deal...I gotta think they would never do anything with us, but if I were a GM for another team, I'd be cookin' up some shit to offer them....
Like Maholm and or Fife (is he still around down in AAA?) for whoever their 2nd string catcher is or a prospect C in AAA.

They are down again 3 - 0 in the 8th! Tanaka 10 k's in the 1st of a double dip. For Blue Zoo, yes Fife is down at AAA.

    Update: Mets 5 - 2 over the REELING D-Bags. 1 - 11 at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They've been curse by having a team with very little talent outside of Goldschmidt.

Really amazes me how no one makes a big deal out of Carlos Gomez. Great talent, but the dude has to be the biggest douchebag in MLB.

^Gomez pimps just about everything which makes him public enemy number one much like Yasiel but the difference is Yasiel is too big to fuck with hand to hand. :bitchslap:

I'm mostly talking about the media. They rip Yasiel a new one and let this guy do whatever he wants without question.

Just in case anyone was wondering why Pa-blow Sandoval is sucking so much ckock this year, you may thank me. I have him on my main fantasy team. Not only that, I have no choice but to start him as I also have Ryan Zimmerman and Will Middlebrooks on the same team, both on the DL.

    You're welcome.

Johnny Cueto has a 1.50 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP in 30 innings this year. He has struck out 35 and has a complete game shutout. His record is 1-2.

You guessed it, he's on my fantasy team.:smh:

Good point. This dude is gonna get pegged in the head one of these days and I wouldn't be surprised to see none of his teammates have his back.

One second thought I doubt it though considering lyin Braun is still on this team and they all still love his cheating ass.

Puig seems to be toning it down a bit this season... or maybe he just doesn't have anything to pimp :)

Maybe I'm biased because I'm a Dodger fan, but Puig and Gomez seem like they are on completely different levels. Puig gets overly excited. Gomez just looks pissed off all the time and runs his mouth too much. He's also a liar, in the recent incident vs the Pirates he said he "thought the ball was going to be caught", when he was clearly admiring what he thought was a HR.

It doesn't bother me if a player admires a home run.

It's part of the game. I don't mind it either, but then don't act surprised when you get buzzed up and in next time at the plate. I remember the story about Drysdale facing Mays (or McCovey). The batter was busy digging foot holds in the box when he glanced up and saw Drysdale glaring in at him. The batter called for time and busily began filling the holes back in.

They've taken that aspect of the game away from the pitchers, sadly.

Since this happened to me in a different stadium with two unaffiliated teams, I'll post this here.
Went to the Rox/Giants game last night. This was the first time I believe that I have actually ever seen the Giants in person (I know, I was a lucky man until last night). So first thing, Rockies fans are already giving up, the party deck didn't work( it is actually awesome) and the stadium was maybe 1/3 filled. Of that 1/3 capacity stadium almost half were Giants fans. To my surprise (not really), I encountered the worst most annoying fan I have ever heard. This girl probably 22-25 screamed the WHOLE MOTHER FUCKING GAME with the highest pitched, shrill, nails on a chalkboard voice. When the Rockies won it gave me great joy to turn around and clap at her and her little hipster piece of fucking shit pumpkin friends. Best thing about this was she was crying when I turned around and her friends were all visibly upset. That brought an even bigger smile to my face. Later in the evening when I left one of the local bars, I saw her mopey face dragging ass down Blake St.
So if any of you had a bad day yesterday, or today for that matter, just think of this moment and you can smile again.

Gomez's problem isn't so much that he admires HR's -- but that he admires HR's, he runs his mouth rounding the bases, and if someone tells him to fuck off he bull rushes them. It doesn't help that he is on a team with a history and culture of disrespectful play.
