Sure, the Kings clinching game was as intense and entertaining of a sporting event I've ever seen. Game 7 of the Lakers Celtics series as well was incredible.

But the Dodgers are different. They're the team I just absolutely fell in love with. And my fandom for other teams just can't compare. I would watch the 1988 World Series tape every single day when I was a kid. I loved the 60s architecture of the stadium. Vin. The ice white uniforms with the blue script. It was so anti orange county. So organic and cultural. I love to look back on falling in love with Dodger baseball.

Yep, Dodgers are number 1 for me as well. I feel like I'm following football less. I'm obviously a big Lakers fan too, but I don't get the same excitement as I do with the Dodgers.

    Dodgers uber alles for me.
I loved the Raiders at one time, but they are a joke now.

But I would like to get some other sports banned forever, because we have to rise above the Neanderthals at some point in our history:
    * Dog fighting ( the worst of human savagery and "sport" endeavors)
    * Boxing (as brutally grotesque and primal as it gets in this day and age)
*Bull fighting ( another testament to the worst aspects of human nature)
    * Dwarf tossing (speaks for itself)
*AL Baseball (a shameful aberration of a beautiful, near perfect game)
*Chachtli or pok a tok (The Mayan game where the losers, or the winners sometimes-figure that one out- were beheaded. Maybe this has been banned, but I'm not sure...I did not see it on ESPN, so...)
*Golf (because George Carlin said: "they should make every golf course in America housing for the homeless"...and the fact that I have lots of experience with these kinds of people in my life, and they should be punished)

When the Kings and Lakers won their championships, I cheered for the Kings, and outside of the '09 series against the Magic, I've been numb to the all the Laker championship since I've seen five already in my lifetime.

I'm pretty sure I'll sob uncontrollably when the Dodgers win.

Andrew Miller is so nasty....to think we were runner-ups for him at the deadline. Makes me sad

I have no way to confirm this but putting pieces together there's some evidence they asked for Urias for him

And obviously that's a steep price but what kills us is that after our top 3 prospects, the gap to the next tier is so large that Ned didn't have much to bargain with for good players who don't deserve elite prospects

Which of course is Neds fault. But also, he gave up two dudes for Roberto Hernandez

    Fuck man, fire this idiot

Nothing like the forum once the " bullshit" chant started or the " mcsorley" chant. Must have been in the 4th or 5th grade. In the street playing hockey arguing over who was going to be the great one or granato or who was going to be mcsorley and throw down w the kid from a couple blocks over and if you were in net it was a must to be hrudey. Then there was no hockey and I couldn't understand why these gods of the ice were fighting about money. Just killed the sport for me.

But baseball is baseball. I started playing t ball at 4.5 years old. Home run derby always came before the street hockey games. Nothing is equal to baseball.

if it's true that Boston asked for Urias in return for Miller, that's an indictment on both Colletti and our farm. there's no way that they should even be able to fix their lips to ask for that kind of return for a reliever. and Miller is damn good, but fuck that. could've went and got Putnam from the WSox or something..he was in talks with the WSox for Dunn ( and lost in those negotiations as well).

Colletti's just a loser. gotta be a total shit to negotiate with as well. any GM that's constantly icy with reporters isn't slick enough, imo. and Amaro would've taken you to the woodshed for Fausto if he had known about Beckett's injury? what? it's Fausto. nah..you just suck, Ned.

We were more about being Randy Holt, Tiger Williams, Jay Wells and even Terry O'Rielly when we played. We were Kings fans ten plus years prior to Gretz arriving in LA. When we wanted to be a scorer, we were Dionne, Simmer Bossy, Perrault, Martin, McNabb, etc. We hated the Canadians since they were in the same division so it was fuck Lafleur and Schutt. We respected them but fuck them. As for Gretz back then. It was fuck him too.

    giants get peavy
    we get hernandez and correia
would have been better to have done nothing
but ned tries to use shit acquisitions as subterfuge to hide his incompetence/ineptness
kasten needs to fire this fool now
if no one suitable is available right now, then he can put on the gm hat for the time being

Hunsicker is already there as a senior advisor. Make him interim until they find a replacement (Friedman is indeed on the radar). If you can't get a good replacement (not that it would take much) give Jerry the job. He has the credentials.

Or call the Royals and see if Dayton Moore is available.

Gotta let it go my man. This team is who we thought they were when they got blown the fuck out by the douche bags in May. Today is a new day and we just have to hope that the problems will be corrected. I feel like they see the same problems we do and they will. There's a reason why Wallach wasn't let go of.

Ideally, if scoscia gets the boot I would love him to come back where he belongs. If not I could def go with manager Wallach, bench coach Yeager, 1b Lopes, Honeycunt, and 3b bundy. I believe we can win with them.
