Two sweeps in a row, one of which was at home! Gotta love it. Just let my Braves fan friends know about it. They must hate me and the Dodgers after last years NLDS and this series. That would make 6 of 7 against them.

Lets not have a let down against the sorry ass cubs now......please!

    Ready for some insane stats?

Since that dreadful start @ AZ, here are Kershaws' numbers: 99 IP, 12 ER (1.09 ERA), 12 BB and 122 Ks.

8 starts of 7+ innings and 1 ER or less.

I couldn't agree more. I've always said I've never seen a defensive metric that wasn't subjective. Every one is based on a human making a judgement call.

Fuck, Koufax...as many guys as there were in here sucking Martin dick I was beginning to wonder if you had died. I couldn't believe the thread went this long before you stepped up to the plate.

Fwiw, I agree with you right now on Martin. I wouldn't spend the coin on him. He's having his best season since 2008...think he's gonna repeat? Me neither.

What is interesting in looking at his numbers is that although his BA and OBP are way up, his power numbers are in a nose dive. My bet is we are witnessing a 'contract year' season. I'd walk away.

...and btw...you left out Hee Seop Choi.

It might be his best season since 08, but every year in between would still be a massive upgrade over what we're getting

Over what we're getting right now, what we got out of Ellis before this season beat the fuck out of Martin post 2008. And he's not costing us 8.5 million either.

AJ was solid last year and even better in 2012, but if this is who he is now, we need to at least consider Martin or other upgrades.

I think Ellis' time is up, now... Martin is a good player even in an average offensive season

Our catcher does not need to hit. He has to handle the staff.

    Yeager
    Scioscia
    AJ

And all three have a post season history of being clutch. Now stop going backwards.

Might as well bring ESPN alum D4P into this idiotic discussion.

For the record. D4P was an abbreviation for 'Delino for Pedro'. But this guy was so adamant about the greatness of Paul LoDuca....it was priceless. Never mind that clutch slam by Fins. D4P never accepted trading away Paul LoJuicer.

He was a cool ESPN guy.
