Badler's concern probably stems from Lee simply not missing bats in 2014, 5.8 K/9 and 10.6 H/9.

Or you will do it lol

    And from BA

Aside from Ross Stripling missing 2014 after having Tommy John surgery, Zach Lee was the only major disappointment among the team’s top prospects. The rest of the system is filled with players who took steps forward in 2014, such as righthander Jose De Leon who went from a 23rd-rounder in 2013 to looking like a potential mid-rotation starter or better, and outfielder Scott Schebler, who led the Double-A Southern League in homers, triples and slugging.

High on Verdugo..kid does have a lot of talent.

BP wasn't as high on Leon..he should be right behind Verdugo in a year if all goes well

Don't you usually have to throw hard for that to happen?

I'm sure if he is only throwing 1 inning, his velocity will shoot up 2-4 MPH.

He'd be around 90 then lol. Jk

To think we could have traded his ass for Howie.

He touches 94 on occasion, but just because you move him to the pen doesn't mean he'll start sitting 95-96. Also even if he does throw harder you can't know he'll be effective in a role he's never experienced AND his secondary stuff isn't eye popping in the first place. I'd just keep in the rotation and save him for depth... There's value in eating innings

He can hit, I'm a fan. Wondering if he got any bigger since I saw him at the area code games

Unless he does get some juice on his No.1, then he is not too great for the BP, IMO. A RH can't get away with throwing what he does like a LH can from the pen.
When I first saw him pitch, I wondered what all the hoopla about him was about on a ML projected level. I saw very little. Not a usual LAD type thrower I thought first...
I hope he bounces "back" to whatever potential was seen down there.
