Julio can go on vacation, call this year a success. Rest up for a strong offseason/ST push to make the rotation next year. Would be great to have Julio back at full strength with Buehler

Kenley gets strike 1 on a cutter, moves to catcher, you bring in Floro for strike 2 on a slider, move Floro to LF, then Madson gets strike 3 on a change up. Move Madson to 1B. Then repeat. Easy. Champions.

    It is kinda funny though.

2015 a major reason we lost was because Seager wasn’t quite ready.

Last year if Buehler were a little more ready we probably win it all.

Imagine losing this year because our LHRP let’s us down.

Well this is the NLDS roster and not necessarily the NLCS roster it can be changed I do believe.

Last year they probably win it all if Kershaw and Kenley don't gag, or if the offense shows up in the WS. I don't look Buehler's way there. They had enough.

Buehler was ready, he just couldn't handle the relief role, but I totally get what you are saying. I was thinking about the other night like, "please don't be our relievers falling apart when guys like Santana and White were expected to be in the pen for this back stretch, but got hurt or off to slow starts". Those were two guys I kinda thought would be secret weapons this September, especially after the way Santana started. I don't want to be thinking about that shit again.... you're also forgetting 16 when Bellinger was not quite ready.

Definitely. It’s all on Kershaw, Seager and Cody IMO. 90% Kershaw though. Cody and Corey were like a combined 40 years old.

But also if every single reliever didn’t suck in Game 5 from overuse.

It still gnaws away at me that the Gnats won three championships this decade, and those feelings intensify when seeing that two of those three teams had losing records against opponents that were over .500. Dodgers let down their guard - thanks to McCourt who had no business owning a baseball team - and SF took advantage.

    Fuck the Giants.

NLDS Game 1: Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers
    Mike Foltynewicz (13-10, 2.85 ERA) vs. Hyun-Jin Ryu (7-3, 1.97 ERA), 8:37 p.m. ET, MLBN

The stakes: Many of the young Braves will be getting their first taste of the postseason, so they have to protect against being overwhelmed by the moment. The Dodgers will try to take advantage of their big experience edge.

If the Braves win: They'll be thrilled to have their opening game behind them and in the win column. They'll also be bucking the season series. Atlanta lost five of seven to the Dodgers and was outscored 35-18.

If the Dodgers win: They'll be feeling good about having Clayton Kershaw in reserve to start Game 2 with a chance to take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

One key stat to know: The Braves had the NL's second-best OPS against left-handed pitching (.780), which comes into play against Ryu and Kershaw. Ozzie Albies (.335 BA, .905 OPS) and Ronald Acuna Jr. (.302, .992) have benefited most from facing lefties.

The matchup that matters most: The Dodgers' bench vs. the Braves' bullpen. L.A. has the deepest roster in the postseason and Atlanta may have the shakiest bullpen, so as the game goes on, it will be a challenge for Braves manager Brian Snitker to find favorable matchups.

The prediction: In a bit of a surprise, the Dodgers tabbed Ryu over Kershaw, but Ryu flashed a 1.88 ERA in nine starts after coming off the disabled list in August. Plus, Ryu could go on short rest in Game 4 and Kershaw on regular rest in Game 5 if needed. The Dodgers hit better against right-handed pitching (.458 slugging vs. .409 against lefties), giving Max Muncy and Cody Bellinger the platoon advantage and getting Joc Pederson into the lineup. Foltynewicz had a breakout season and his breaking stuff is absurd, but I like all that lefty power in the L.A. lineup -- not to mention Justin Turner and Manny Machado. Dodgers take it 5-2.

Well... and, of course, Yu Darvish.

But Kershaw is the franchise player and he had a chance to lock it down. Even after all that, we still nearly pulled out a WS win. I'm convinced if we play that WS 10 times, we win 7-8 of those times.
