    does anyone else think the wild cards sb 5 games and every series after that 7? sure maybe the teams w the best record get a little rusty but in a 7 game series i would think that equals out. lol phils

    I'd make Tarik Skubal my game 1 starter if I'm the Dodgers.

    The Braves are a significantly worse lineup against lefties. Since the beginning of September, the Braves .585 OPS vs. LHP is the worst in MLB.

    Start Snell Sunday. Empty the pen with the Monday off day. Save Yama.

    Another reason that the Dodgers should consider Skubal for game 1.

    Here are Yamamoto's home/road splits this year:

    Home:
    3.13 ERA
    0.91 WHIP
    1.22 HR/9

    Road:
    1.77 ERA
    0.82 WHIP
    0.66 HR/9

    Yama made 28 starts and carried last year. This could keep him fresher for the CS & WS.

    Game 1 Sat — 1:00 pm
    Game 2 Sun — 5:00 pm
    Game 3 Tue — 3:00 pm
    Game 4 Wed — 3:00 pm
    Game 5 Fri — 5:00 pm



    i hate MLB
    1:00 pm on SAT and 3:00 pm on TUE/WED while NYY/TB and SD/MIL get the prime time spots
    btw which team is going for the first three-peat in NL history?

    I guess I watched as much of the playoffs as the next guy, and I come away with certain conclusions in my mind...
    Imo, I don't see anyone beating the Yankees. They look like the best team out there over all with unbelievably shutdown pitching. And the age old "Bronx Bombers" offensive shit sure is raising it's ugly fucking head in 2026 post season. That's for sure. Maybe Boston's mediocrity allowed the NYY juggernaut
    Boston and the Phillies reminded me of the Dodgers. Capable at times of beating anyone decidedly, but if the HRs are not coming, not a good risp team at all. Just like LA right now.
    Sale is a distinct problem for us, and Albies and Olsen are key Braves to shut down.
    I agree with starting 2 lefties in a row, and get that advantage on them...if the ATL trouble with LH stat holds true. But the LA perceived " do the right thing for the veterans" code may totally prevent it.
    If Ohtani and FF and Muncy are sleepwalking as they have been of late, tbreepeat will be DEfeat instead.
    And if LA doesn't get there, then let's go White Sox !
    And Cleveland wins it!

    I think the WC should be 1 game.
    DS and LCS 7 games.
    Will never happen, but I dont like that the WC is a true round.

    You are right - Albies & Olson are dangerous, but I know Riley hit two vs LA in 2020, & Harris walloped Dodger pitching this season ... lots of good bats in Atl.
