Finally caught up to you guys with Breaking Bad. Couple of questions: Possible spoilers.

Is anyone actually still rooting for Walt? I sure as hell aren't. It's like with Sons Of Anarchy back when I watched that by the second season I have absolutely no compassion for the main characters, they are all pieces-of-shit and I want them all to die and I stopped watching. Same goes for Walt, what emotional attachment they made me feel for him no longer exists. I want him to get his comeuppance. It's pretty much why I'm watching it. What happened with Mike was the nail-in-the-coffin for me.

Secondly, has anyone actually cared about Walt's family from the start? Not sure if it was deliberate or not, but at absolutely no point have I cared about Skylar or Junior. Not sure if it's deliberate but I honestly skip through almost all of their altercations.

At this point I'm rooting for Jesse (and to a lesser extent Hank, although doesn't look like that will turn out well.) The guy has annoyed the living shit out of me since the very first episode. But the way he has been manipulated makes me feel for him, despite been dumb as shit.

    Breaking Bad.

    Holy shit tonight was intense.

One thing I want to say:

    (SPOILERS!!!!!)

Walt's whole "I'll kill you if you cross me" to Skylar was a lie. He knows there's police there. He wants them to know it was only him that was involved in the drug trade. She knew too, which is why she said "I'm sorry."

But fucking hell, I think I know what the machine gun is for now. Walt is going to try and redeem himself by saving Jesse from the Nazis.

    Amazing episode as always.

    Also, RIP Hank and Gomie.

    SPOILERS!!!!!

I hadn't thought of it like that but you are totally right. He knew exactly what he was doing, he knew there were cops there and he wanted to protect his family.

I agree on the LMG thing, he is definitely going to try to save Jesse.

When they took Jesse prisoner I figured they were going to make him cook for them.

You've obviously never seen Game of Thrones.

I absolutely love Breaking Bad but GoT destroys any TV Series ever.

major flaw tonight was walt giving up that stash. i know it all has to tie together in the end for the story but no way he does that.
oh and in answer to NZ i'm still rooting for walt.

He had to. I think, for a moment there, we saw Walt and not Heisenberg.

Walt is not without compassion. He did his best to save everyone. He wanted Hank to stop snooping around and leave him alone, thus ensuring everyone would be alive. But Hank is too obsessive over things (Tuco, Gus, Jesse) to just let Walt get away with it. But Walt still cares for him. Walt's soft spot has always been his family, and for a while, Jesse, who he sort of saw as a son to him.

And after his phone call to Skylar, I'm rooting for Walt. I've really only been rooting for the kids and Jesse to make it out alive a this point, but that phone call showed everyone that Walt still has some decency left in him, no matter how many fucked up things he's done.

but he didn't have to disclose where the money was is my point. and those guys could have been bought off for a lot less. if indeed they could have been bought off at all, which obviously they couldn't. and a walt type chess player would have had to have known that.
i understand him trying to save hank but by throwing ALL his cards on the table it just didn't fit w how he would have played it imo. i could see him blurting out that he could get his hands on say 10 million if they didn't kill him. that would have been more plausible to me.
but i still loved the intensity of the episode.
i reserve final thought until after the last two episodes but no way he gives up all his money in that moment imo.

They knew about the money. Walt gave them exact coordinates so he could find him when he thought Jesse was burning the money. They ended up thinkin it was odd how they were given exact coordinates. Hell, they even brought a shovel just in case.

the shovel was brought by the DEA. and the coordinates were given for where to find jesse. otherwise he wouldn't have needed to tell them it was buried right there.

You're right about the shovel. But I still think they would have realized something was up when he gave them exact coordinates. The nazis aren't stupid. A bit crazy, but their leader, Todd's uncle, isn't stupid.

GOAT episode. GOAT show. No other show has gotten me so emotional. I felt like this was happening to me and Walt was terrorizing the fuck out of me.

I didn't like Jesse before this episode, but now I just feel bad for him. Dude just wanted justice. Fuck. Hopefully Walt can save him like MZA said.

    SPOILERS

Amazing episode. I don't like calling it the greatest episode ever of any show, but probably the most thrilling episode. Lots of other episodes are as good if not better but in different ways (dramatic, sadness, twisting, mystery) but that episode was thrilling from start to finish in an outstanding way.

I kinda agree with Diablo about the money: The one consistent thing with Walt is that he loves his money so much, he'd be more careful about the coordinates. But I mean, after previous smart characters letting down guard, I knew this show would have its smartest characters go down in guard/intelligence in the final moments. Once they were coming, it was easy to see Walt was fucked with his money.

Also, I wish we could have seen the firetruck breaking into scene. I 100% understand why they don't show it, it's a bit of a waste of time in these last episodes, but given that the show in the first seasons prided itself in showing you every detail ("How would we kill a guy?" and showing us every detail of them breaking in) it'd be great to see the insanity of that happening.

Wonder what the last two episodes have in store for us. Hope it's not Walt being a good guy, hero of any sort. Hope he gets killed trying to save others.

SPOILERS BECAUSE FORDIE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THESE SPOILER WARNINGS ARE FOR

I have a feeling Walt has to come back and save his family/Jesse from the Nazis.

I've always felt Walt is going to die alone from the cancer, not someone killing him.
