Lmao at Turner's ejection. Watching replays (seriously, why watch these cunts live?) and that pitch was terrible.
Don't matter who we play because if we continue to play like this we'd lose to the fucking giants in a playoff series.
FO or dave? who thought it was a good idea to hold tryouts in the middle of the stretch? maybe one or two of the call ups might have a chance at the playoff roster and we act like we can just throw scrubs out there and then go back to winning dave even said as much last night after the game
At this rate the Chargers are gonna win a Super Bowl before LAD wins a WS It's up to LeBron to save Los Angeles
I don't typically go for the whole chemistry narrative, but the organization has really screwed the pooch by messing with a formula that worked. Let the guys who got us the best record in baseball play. And as crazy as it might sound, that includes Joc. Tell him to just pick a batting stance and go play for a month. I think we all wanted to believe that Adrian could come back and deepen this lineup, but it is not going to happen. I had hope that Verdugo, with such great plate discipline and ability to make contact would be a breath of fresh air in a line up with a lot of swing-and-miss. But he's just not ready.
Probably the FO. This tryout stuff sure is trying. That is clearly what it is. Hopefully these guys are professionals and will be able to all turn it on again relatively around the same time.
According to David Vassgay, Dave Roberts has said that Taylor will not be considered to start at 2B and it's a competition between Forsythe and Utley. Whelp.
In fairness, that formula was part of the winning combination. Say what you will about Foreskin, but with him playing everyday 2nd base, Belli at 1st, Corey and JT at SS and 3rd regularly, that won games. Same with the idea of Puig at RF, Joc at CF, and Barnes at RF. You could sub in Taylor or put him at 2nd on certain starts....but I guess where I'm going with this. Get this team comfortable again with the winning formula that got them this far. I also mean that in the batting order. Puig seemed so comfortable in the 8 hole.....why did Roberts move him up? I think Puig offered that dangerous pop for most pitchers in a spot they were not usually used to have to worry about. Again, not sure who or why this mixed-up tryout experimentation has been taking place!?!?!?!?!
I agree with most. CF: Taylor SS: Seager 3B: Turner 1B: Bellinger RF: Puig 2B: Barnes or Utley/Forsythe platoon (just make Barnes the starter already) C : Grandal/Barnes platoon (just make Barnes the starter already) LF: Joc/Kike/Trayce/Barnes platoon (just make Barnes the starter already) Bench of Utley, Ethier, Grandy, Adrian + two from Forsythe, Farmer, Kike or Trayce for a 6 man bench. Its the winning formula but updated for the playoffs and current realities. Puig is no longer the 8 man because Joc needs that role now and the lineup can use the stretch that Puig brings in the 5 hole before the platooners come on board. Utley gets back to starting vs righties where he is best and Logan vs lefties where he is best.
You are correct. We are in the playoffs FOR SURE. The way the offense has struggled has been nothing short of pathetic. FORTUNATELY we have 4 games in Philly to revive it. Going Friday so I hope they get their shit together!!!!!
I'd trade in a regular season record for a WS any day....except these idiots are playing like little league 1st timers.
Magic number is 1 for Cards and Cubs and Brewers are done with respect to a playoff vs us. We win tonight and we are in. To be clear I already posted that we've lost the momentum but play-off is not in jeopardy.
