It makes me feel worse, in so many ways. not only numerically, when it could be 5.5 games behind, but the killer instinct that the Dodgers lack....instead they have the faggot instinct to roll over and fuck up royally when they can slide in for the kill and really take advantage of the SFags losing 6 out of seven. In fact, if the Dodgers were the killer team as preseason experts predicted they were, the could be about 4/3.5 games out going into Mondays CO series. But they're the Dodgers, and the HR drought is getting a little alarming, as once in a while, the long ball from guys who are paid to do it now and then, like, say, Agon and Puig and some others would be nice. And I have to wonder: aren't there a couple of players we could bring up instead of the guys on the bench we (DBB) are using now that might be a little more productive? Sometimes who they bring up to fill in spots is like a mercy booking....
well they still gained 3 games this week and I'm really sure you'd rather be 7.5 back as opposed to 6.5 right now
and i wonder how the HR derby will treat Puig in the 2nd half of the season because we all know he's gonna be in the competition
Wow, I didn't even notice that Colorado came back today. The Rockies gained a lot of respect, but now they're probably going to win 2 out of 3 vs us with all of that momentum.
Dodgers 10 hits for 3 runs DBags 8 hits for 6 runs.... sigh... These guys get more creative every day in finding new ways to give away games... or was it the same old same old... lack of clutch hitting and half assed fielding efforts? I can't tell any longer
Of course not...I'm glad we gained games on them, no doubt. But the opportunity may not come again where the SFags slide quite this badly...you've gotta go for the kill when there is an opening. It was so sloppy on the field, and that is a Dodger bugaboo tried and true. They have established that they are the Giants bitches; if they just won half the games with them, where would they be now? They just roll over and die...so they've gotta do it with other teams, since they can't beat SF...it's embarrassing.
IMO, the HR Derby is absolutely unimportant....it means nothing, nada, zero, except for individual egos. In fact, I hope no Dodger goes...it's useless, and that kind of a showcase puts Yasiel in a drama queen position, where he is at his worst. Let Giancarlo get all the accolades, and let Puig hit some during real BB games. That's what counts.
Can't remember how captains are picked (just random, I would guess), and then they choose the participants. They made a big stink a few years in a row when the hometown players weren't chosen.
