Hey TB, I picked on you because you're always crying about the Dodger's attendance. :p

This pretty amazing, we are leading all of baseball! Both in total(We have the most home games by 1) and also average total at 42,706 per game. Damn good branging rights for a last place trainwreck of a season I'd say.
The problem lies with our percentage of capacity, as usual. The ballpark is so damn big, but I'm glad. It makes it easier to get tix, especially for big games. Check it out!

    :)

My gripe has always been this:

56 K seats, 42K crowd = bad image for the team.

They have to either downsize the current capacity (and no, I don't mean just throwing tarps everywhere), or build a replica Dodger Stadium in the same location that holds closer to 45,000.

The Giants, Red Sox, Phillies, etc make 41,000 crowds look like world series crowds. But when we have 43,000 in attendance, it looks like a ghost town. It's gotta change.

Every game is on TV and I'm sick of seeing a sea of empty seats. The Dodgers will never be respected for their attendance until all the seats are full. It's the way it is.

The Dodgers had 45,000 at Dodger Stadium on Mothers day (sell out almost everywhere else). And my Aunt said, "wow, there's nobody there". It's gotta change.

I respectfully disagree, although I agree it usually looks bad.
The "respect" you want for attendence is, well I don't see why you care. The numbers don't lie. We outsell everyone right now with a last place squad. Everyone has to respect that.
And, I'm not sure what your talking about Mother's Day. I went on Kemp's bobblehead night and the place looked packed, and had the electricity. I don't know what the numbers were, but I'm pretty sure it was similair to 45000.

And my favorite part of having a huge stadium is that, come big games, especially post season...we all will want more seats available. We'd sell out a 45K stadium in 5 seconds and everyone else is SOL. I've went to alot of post season games and I'm sure was able to because we have a large stadium. The other obvious benefit is that tickets cost less than they would for a smaller stadium. This still allows families the chance to go, at least more likely than in a small constantly sold out ballpark.

I'm trying to grasp the concept of a 45K stadium and the thought scares me. everygame would be a sellout and getting a ticket would be either too expensive, or impossible to get.

I'd just hope they can find a better way to fill the stadium(make it look full) when there's a 30K game. Like close the top deck and put cardboard people there or something. :laford:
