    Well, this kicks the can down the road for a year. I expect Andre will be playing hard this season for the new contract, too.

    ^... What's scary to consider is that 'maybe' the uber rich new owner will consider himself not enough of a 'baseball man' and keep Ned on board for 'baseball purposes'... Now THAT would be an ugly scenario...

    It's arbitration, so it can't really be "too much"... but yeah, you have to wonder what Loney could fetch on the open market. It's not like 1B-men are hard to find.
