I felt that way until we lost 5/6 to the Reds and 2/3 to the Mets
Quick glance at the Dodger record and we can see how the West is lost this year.........
Against teams .500 or better: 48-41 (.539)
Against teams under .500: 31-26 (.544)
Barely better against the shitty teams than they are against the better ones.
With losers like Kershaw and Jansen, how can this team go anywhere ?
Looks like a Jackie Treehorn production to me.
we've been talking almost all season about how too many idiots swing for the fences
yet, apparently, freese is the only one who sees it...
“We took good swings, man, Freese told Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group. “We didn’t take launch swings. We took swings to kind of move the train and keep it going. It was a good night.”
looked at ebay one day and they were auctioning off all this stuff from the man show
i got that bell they used to ring all the time for $15 or something cheap
mom has it by her chair and uses it to call the caregiver if they are out of the room
I like it tbh. The bottom third could be changed to maybe add Verdugo but I think this is the best combo of offense+defense we have to offer against RHP, and our top 6 has some elite potential. Let’s get that W
i like jimmy, but yeah...
the networks wield omnipotent power and often force people to change
biggest was letterman going from nbc to cbs
was way funnier/wilder/looser pre-cbs
don't think so?... watch some of the old 80's/90's shows
night and day
would rather have verdugo's bat
but that would probably mean muncy at 2b
wonder how logan dozier feels about this lol
of course, none of it matters
this is as close as we're gonna get...
I think at this time The Man Show boy would tell Jimmy to fuck off.
“Every pitch, every out, every opportunity that’s out there, once you step on that field, it can be a big moment moving forward,” Machado told David Wilhelm of MLB.com. “This is why we love September baseball. It’s so much fun. We’re playing for something. We’ve got a tough road ahead of us. We’re just going to keep battling and enjoy every moment of it. We’ll see where it takes us.”
where it takes you, manny, is to free agency
as for the team... groupon has some attractive vacation packages for october
forgot about that kid
he was fucken ruthless
i remember him selling beer out of a stand
Muncy would have to go 4-4 with 4 RBI every night to make up for his glove at 2B.
Only thing he knows about Sept baseball is that it's usually the last month he plays the game.
That said, that play he made last night was sick. What an arm. Of course that same arm botched that potential game ending DP, too.
Couldn't hardly stay in the room last night as Kenley decided to go Wild Thing.
Small comfort in that he didn't get hammered. The single to RF was a broken bat POS and the potential DP was off the end of the bat. If you really want a cringe worthy moment, check out the pitch to Adams. Center cut, belt high.....the kind he usually squares up against the Dodgers.
Good old 20-20 hindsight, but there's no way I let Kenley pitch to Adams. It worked out, but I would have had Alexander pitch to him.
the guy was gonna be safe and he tried to put too much on that throw
no problem w his fielding but that bat needs to come up big the next two weeks for us to have a chance
He was just mentally adjusting to the physical adjustment of his new heart adjuster.
Before Thursday’s game, Dave Roberts announced Alex Wood will be moved to the bullpen for the remainder of the season.
For Wood, he has come out of the bullpen in 37 of his career 166 games as a big-leaguer. He started the 2017 season in the bullpen, where he only made two appearances. This comes after one of Wood’s worst starts of the season. In his last outing, Wood allowed seven runs on eight hits in 3 2⁄3 innings versus the Reds. For Wood, he will be used in high-leverage situations, for roughly 1-2 innings at a time. Moving forward, Ross Stripling will be added back to the starting rotation. For the final month of the season, it appears that the Dodgers’ rotation will be Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill, Ross Stripling, Hyun-Jin Ryu and Walker Buehler.
