And to think I forgot all about it. Can't remember the last time I did that.

Picked a good one to miss.

But it was Kemp who got it. Didn't mean to, but so what?
You have to admit it was a great move by the FO.
Flat out prevented a no-no...these guys are just so clever.
    I'm sold.
    Sorry, Darth...

problem is they’re believing the press clippings
those 90’s braves teams won all those division titles but never stopped grinding until they won it all
and the 2014 royals fell one win short came back with a chip on their shoulder and won it all the next year
i do not see any fire or sense of urgency from this team
    quite the opposite in fact
    kenley looks fat/out of shape
kersh looks (dare i say) mortal
    seager looks disinterested
forsythe looks as shitty as last year (with no injury excuse this year)
bellinger still can’t hit/lay off that pitch off his back foot...
    shit, i could go on...
but it looks like these guys are presuming they’ll ultimately breeze to another division title and will (then) turn it on in the post
problem is, it doesn’t work that way
I know it’s early and all, but this team is lacking a huge fundamental imo — passion

Here I thought this one might be a little too obtuse of an angle since the general line we are fed is that art has to be somehow something unique and precious when it is recycled and mundane.
In a lot of ways, art is someone desperate to show others the mortality that is in everyone's hearts. But to make it special the artist has to throw a couple of layers into it so you have to chew the cud a bit before you get those nutrients you crave.

As a gift to you for understanding my point with the picture of the titanic in a bottle of pink wine I will grace you with one of my fine works of art in a few days.

It is about a young war veteran coming back to America and facing a similar fate as Rambo.
He is a black indian and his name is Samuel Lambeaux.
But his momma and pappa and his friends and his foes call him Sambo.
And he stars in the story of Little Black Sambo part 2.

It's still early but if we ain't in the thick of things watch them start all over. No Harper No Machado ect....it wouldn' surprise me if they went all fire sale not named Seager or Bellinger:prospects::fireme::farhanwhack:

And the issues with his back as well. Loyalty, shmoyalty. We don't need Kershaw making 35M+ annually from now until 2025 and shit. The Cardinals had to make a tough decision with Pujols years back, and hell, he actually won something in STL. LAD had better be ready to make the same sort of tough decision if Kershaw is offered some silly contract from elsewhere. Hall of famer or not, I'm not with overpaying Kershaw for some cute story. You earn the cute story when you win titles and get it done when it matters most, and so Kershaw is far from Kobe Bryant. Bryant got the royal treatment, shit was well deserved, gave us 5 parades.

On the extra small chance that LAD actually sucks this year, they should think about trading his ass too if that's how the season shakes out. I don't believe it will, but if it does, yeah, see what you can get for a declining Kershaw that has designs on opting out. Damn well better start shopping some of these older, expensive players if this group does fizzle out..Turner too..start lining it up for Arenado or Machado or for Seager to take 3B. I'm all for shaking this group up and paying younger talents that are in their prime. That said, reconvene on this matter after 45-50 games because it's still too early. You generally get an accurate sense of a team as a whole after a third of the season has passed.

    Baseball is not like basketball.
The best player in the world is no guarantee.
Lebron is always in the finals.
    Barry Bonds rarely made it.
The best players in basketball always get their shots to win the ring.
Baseballs best can play a career without ever sniffing a ring.

The point is that Mike Trout doesn’t have a ring through no fault of his own, Kershaw doesn’t have a ring and a lot of it is his fault.

Poor management and blatant overuse in the past bears a good chunk of
responsibility in his meltdowns too, but never seems to be mentioned or factored in, ever, in the ongoing excoriations by his detractors and relentlessly minimizing what he has done over the last years for this team.
It's so repetitive, imo, that it seems a bit curious to why so vehement.

I was going to say that but I knew what the rebuttal was going to be so I took a walk around the block a few times instead.

Is this the 2018 version of "easy sweep"?

Pretty sad state of affairs in LA now, except for the hope of the Rams, and who knew that was coming?

Jekyll and Hyde Kings back in and will most likely get swept.
Lakers continue to blow while the Sixers with the same shit record the past few years take the 3 seed.
FUCKTARDS stuck our Dodgers in shits ville with all their fucked up spending while Ohtani thrills the Big A...

Hanging my head and getting ready to jettison my cable box. Fuck 'em all!
