I wanted us to go after Moose because he and Muncy have a lot of similar points that might not have been that apparent last year.
Muncy is putting up an even better year than Moose but both guys are capable of putting up big HR totals out of the 2B position while being average to good enough at general hitting and defense to where they make a huge upgrade in the lineup over a traditional 2B.

Truth is that lots of players are average to good players but not threats.
Some guys are not good hitters but good enough to be threats when their massive power is put into consideration.
Same as a guy who is a great hitter with marginal power. That guy can be a threat just from his learned skill with the bat like JT.
Some guys have raw talent that just needs some decent skills to harness into a threat.
And some guys have decent talent but need to develop excellent skills to get the most of it.
That is why I loved the moneyball concept because it finds the players that are possible threats but maybe not good all around baseball players.
A threat is ore that can be polished into a diamond that is then worth more than the gold at the top of the draft.

Communication problem...they thought they were getting Taylor Swift, a far better hitter.
    Typo.

Yeah it is not ideal, but they are not the most important bats in the lineup and you never know... The 1996 Yankees were spurred on by a talented rookie shortstop, lead by a second year 24 year old ace and the emergence of a superstar rookie reliever. Sometimes it takes a couple of kids to come along and put you over the top.

Threw another one, but that had way too much of the plate and not sure how Andreson was able to make contact with that ball at 97 on the inside corner.

That's just not fair.... 97, that much movement and it tails back over the corner.

Well... if they decide to move May to the pen for the playoffs, it certainly will be interesting to watch.

Command/Control is definitely something that this kid will need to harness going forward. He throws the ball in the zone, but a lot of times it is not close to where the glove is put. In a playoff game, I could see some dick like Angel Hernandez, Joe West or Laz Diaz make him hit the glove to prove a point or some shit.

Improbably but possible that this graduating class of B level prospects May, Smith, and Lux help secure the ring and start a dynasty that the previous bunch of crops of A list talent could not.

specially if he ends up pitching so well in the 8th that you roll the dice and he starts getting 2 inning saves

Bullpen games 1 and 2 for May, if he’s needed, and starts game 4?

I was thinking game 1 for him and then game 5 for Kershaw in the 5 game. Then in the 7 game you go May again in game 1 and game 7

God do we need him to get rolling again. That stretch where he was tearing shit up was the Seager we know he can be. We can wax poetic about this and that, but he is one of the biggest factors on whether or not we can win the whole thing.

Dude, Smith that was a thing of beauty. Saw that breaker, sat back and just crushed it.

A little thing, but Muncy busting it down the line prolongs the inning.

Hustle shouldn't be an outdated concept.

Kid is really fighting his command the last 2 innings... also felt like that was a ball most decent CF's would have been able to get to.
