i don't think you can underestimate the stupidity of bringing in baez after we come back from 4 down and of course he gives up a HR w 2 down and 2 strikes on realmuto had a chance to feel good about ourselves but had to go to the old reliable i know nobody cares
I care. A whole lot. This fucking hurts, man. Those who don't care are lucky. Those who pretend they don't are fools.
that's what's most frustrating no fire, no passion, no (apparent) sense of urgency and robert's continued inexplicable hard-on for using baez in pressure situations is beyond comprehension don't think roberts is wholly responsible by any means, but he might need to go by not punishing/disciplining bellinger for disobeying a direct order, he showed he had no sack and imo lost the (respect of the) team idk, just pissed and frustrated
I’m hoping this is like ‘13 where we somehow come back after shit start, but back then we had Kershaw and Hanley going gangbusters on everyone and now we’re not sure how Kershaw will come back after this injury. This is the most frustrated I’ve been with this team and I lived through the FOX years and season after season of disappointment. Our bullpen is utter trash. It’s batting practice up there. And our starters can’t get more than five god damn innings. This is a bad mix.
its like the opposition can see and feel how vulnerable we are and they just walk up and punch us in the fucking face idt anyone thinks these guys are this bad but apparently they do
I live a pretty normal life, I suppose... I'm functional and mostly happy. Competent, I think. My shtick on DSP is not prevelent in real life (except saying rkacist stuff). But I'll admit something right now... I legit have nightmares about game 7 multiple times a week. Not saying this to be funny and it's actually pretty embarrassing. I remember thinking that morning the Dodgers were going to win the World Series. Sitting in that seat watching our guys go down without a fight was surreal in a bad way. I need to teach my future kids to put God and others before Dodger Baseball. When you grow up idolizing a baseball team, it's not healthy. I don't want them hurting like this. I will never stop caring. I'll always carry the scars of Broxton, Kenley, and Kershaw. I'll always be a Dodger fan. But something is off. I don't fully love them anymore and I resent who I am when I watch them. I get too upset. So I don't watch, really. I put the TV on mute and check in every so often. 2013 was the last season I remember feeling like a kid in love with his baseball team. 2014 is when life starting changing a bit, time warner happened, and slowly the team has been less of a summer night staple. I don't have my tickets anymore either so there's nothing forcing me to go to the ballpark. Nobody, including the announcers can watch this team without thinking about game 7 and I think it impacts the players too. Just don't have it in us.
If Dave were to get fired it might just fire up the team. Edwin Rios can come up and suddenly put up huge numbers at 1B replacing Seagers production. Urias can come up and become a force. A few starter prospects can make a successful late season addition to the bullpen like Buehler did last year. Turner can come back and inspire the team like he has in the past. At least one out of Toles, Joc, Puig, Verdugo has a break out year. Bellinger really is a 40HR elite baseball player and good in CF. Dodgers make a huge comeback and win the WS. Then sign AJ Pollock and Eduardo Escobar if they lose out to Manny Machado and Bryce Harper. But first trade some low level pitching prospects to the A's and Kyle Farmer and Pedro Baez for for some immediate help. Blake Treinen, Santiago Casilla for the bullpen and Jed Lowrie for some quick offense. CF: Bellinger 3B: Turner 2B: Lowrie C : Grandal 1B: Rios SS: Taylor RF: Puig LF: Joc/Kemp/Toles/Verdugo/Kike/Logan/Utley/Barnes That scrappy lineup can pull off a huge upset.
it was so much more than just game 7 but i feel you i used to fall asleep seeing magic throwing passes all over the court and i took the losses hard same w the Dodgers in the 70s kinda hard to think about what it felt like watching game 7 for you because thats quite intense thing is we are still in this
dodgers anywhere from 18 to 20 to 1 to win it all. I may throw down a 100 just cause I'm crazy:crazy:
Did not know this shit started at 12:00 east coast. Just turned it on...we are up 7-0, and Maeda great. Shutout. Pitch count fine. Fucking finooks.
