8 doubles and 8 HRs in AUG.
3 doubles and 4 HRs late in SEPT.
2 doubles and 2 HRs in OCT?

We can only hope that the excitement of the postseason provides a spark. Otherwise, prepare ourselves for the excuses from the FO/Roberts.

Meanwhile, Harper's gotten stronger as the season has unfolded, and nearly has a 1.000 OPS against LHP this season last time I looked. He is taking lefties to the woodshed

If he was a steady .280-.300 all season, I think we'd be stoked.

Unfortunately, he had an insane 2.5 months and then tanked.

The totality of his offense and defense is undeniable. But he can't be relied upon to carry an offense when it matters most.

Seager and Turner are our purest hitters. Seager getting hurt and going dairy free was a huge blow. Glad it looks like he's coming out the other side. We desperately need him.

Muncy is also a consistent hitter with great plate discipline. It's really a Turner, Muncy, Seager offensive core for the post.

I get why the Nats seem scary but man I’m pretty sure I’d rather face them then the Brewers. Bullpens are scarier in the first round, starting pitchers scarier in 2nd round. In a 5 game series, a good bullpen can dominate without getting too tired.

Why are we talking about the Astros and Yankees when it’s the AL Centrals turn to beat us in the World Series?

Twins about to make us pay for 1965

Belli currently @ 152 games played
    Muncy @ 136
    JT @ 135
    Seager @ 130

Granted, he's the horse among those guys, but maybe Belli should see his fair share of rest over the next 5 games, as in sit'em all out? Willing to try just about anything. What could it hurt?

Yep, a nice reboot mentally before the post. Sit him down..he even keeps his .300 avg so jpl doesn't have to be sad. :D

JT is officially a grizzled vet. I think he'll be good for at least a series and probably at the most a couple. Have doubts that he puts together a strong run all the way through. Mr. Freeze's time of year..I expect a little noise when we need it most. He's a timely guy

Pollock since July 12 (after injury and all star break):
    .294/.353/ .553

includes hitting .333/.366/.606 against lefties in that time.

    not bad

Well the NL Central race may not be over yet. The Cards have blown a 5-2 lead to the Backs who have put together a 7 run 6th inning after a 19 inning affair last night that they lost. IF they end up losing this one, the Cards COULD be going into the final series against their hated rival Cubs with only a 1 game lead on the Brewers. That could make for a fun couple of days and a scenario where the Dodgers are facing a WC team that has used its two best starters the two games prior. Lots of other scenarios will have to play out for that to come true, but makes the NL race a little more interesting than it looked a couple days ago.

The Cards have also lost Wacha for the remainder of the season.

aaaaaand the brewers are now killing the Reds

Cardinals facing Cubs (who look awful) and Brewers gonna face the Rockies. Looks like those series along with how the Rays and Cleveland do will be what to watch for

Yeah, he had come to life a bit in the second half, but no more. That team is going to be interesting, but they are VERY beatable.
