nvm, we might need him. We don't have a pitcher we can trust in the playoffs after Greinke

How can the Rays take on Kemp's payroll?
How can Pederson be such a valuable asset to us other than in trade value? We have 4 starting OFers under long term contracts.
How can anybody not want Price?
How can anyone think of trading Seager with our IF depth/age/contract situation?

Price got his tits licked against the Red Sox and then called everyone nerds.

    These are all on point.

I would do Urias, Pederson and a non-consensus top 100 prospect (Lee or Stripling).

Never would I give up both Seager and Urias, given what else they have in the organization.

that's why i said LA would send half the money on his deal. they can afford him if LA helps them somewhat...they just signed Longoria to a big deal and need to make good on that.
as one of those 2 outfielder's replacement...he's young and likely to be far more durable than Kemp/Ethier/CC + he plays the command position - CF...there's value in that alone
i have no idea. but it doesn't matter. remember all those gifts the Dodgers gave Price for his dog to play around with...they want Price here...you do not go all in on payroll and then stop looking for ways to improve the team's immediate standing. we're good now...we can be better.
crack is a hell of a drug. Seager, Urias, and Withrow aren't going anywhere.

I didn't see it, but Gammons apparently said on MLB Network that the most likely destination for Price is the Dodgers. Don't see how that happens since ownership preached about building the farm and then they would turn around and decimate it. Though he also mentioned that the club will probably look to move Kemp, so maybe that situation I mentioned earlier of a 3 team deal is possible.

Multiple analysts think Price is getting traded to us or the Rangers and idk why.

umm, because the Dodgers can afford him and the Rangers really need a guy to go with Darvish at the top of their rotation.

Price is a soon to be free agent. it wouldn't make sense for a team to send over major compensation to get him and then that team not be able to afford him come time for him to sign. it's just logic. he SHOULD go to a team that'll be able to keep him long term. doesn't mean it'll happen, but logic says that's what should happen.

I can understand the Rangers, but the Dodgers can't afford giving up all that talent for one guy. Still have to resign Kershaw/Hanley.

i'm not sure you realize how much money ownership has to play with. on top of the TV deal, Guggenheim controls over 180 billion...yes...i said BILLION in assets. the TV deal alone looks like it's gonna cover 260-270M per year and that's away from Guggenheim's actual pockets. MLB/Selig did us a solid, bro. accept it. they have enough money to sign Kershaw, Hanley, AND Price.

this franchise is all in as far as winning right now...this is only a 5-6 year period in which they're gonna spend wildly, but they'll do whatever it takes to add talent and get the right pieces so long as they aren't destroying their farm. expect Kemp and Ethier to be dangled on the block. the front office saw the impact that a young guy in Puig had...they'll continue to move younger guys in slowly but surely to continue to stoke the fire. Joc is probably next and then Seager in 2015 or 2016. that's how you do it though...and Kasten is big on pitching, so yes they'll look at Price. did you see how lovey dovey they were with Price earlier this season?

You do realize that the Dodgers would have to trade Joc, Seager, Urias, and others for Price, right? He's not a free agent yet.

who told you that? an insider? i'm looking squarely at Kemp and cash. maybe even a 3 team deal.

Just about every analyst said it'd take a package of prospects from the Dodgers. I mean we always talk about different scenarios on here about what we'd do if we ran the Dodgers, but it should be realistic. The Rays won't want anything to do with Kemp. Not a knock on Matty, but they've always traded good players for solid prospects. They're not going to trade a top 5 pitcher in the MLB for a guy who hasn't played a full season since 2011 and a couple other players from the other team in a 3 team deal.

oh shit. not analysts! could those analysts possibly tell me for the 101st time that Alex Guerrero is signing with the Dodgers? lol taken with a grain of salt, dude.
that much is true. however, Price's free agency looms and there's not gonna be a large amount of teams willing to send a major package of prospects unless they feel they'll be able to sign Price. and with the Dodgers out there as a possible suitor in free agency a lot of teams are going to back off of Price and hang the phone up on Tampa. because if the Dodgers want him it's only a matter of time and that time is soon.
what does any of that have to do with Cano, dude? he's a free agent right now. you're just in the mood to say " no " right now, aren't you?
