    when you think about it
all the pressure is on boston
especially in game 1 with sale on the bump
if we could somehow steal a win tomorrow it could be huge going forward

We’re in the World Series again. Kind of surreal. This front office is second to none in my opinion. The only team I thought of as being run as well as us is the Astros who bring in domestic abusers and cheat so much every other team can’t stand playing them.

I wanna win this so bad. For JT, for Puig, for Kenley, for Kemp, for Kershaw even. Capping off this six year run with a ring would make us the team of the decade.

It makes me really angry that nobody is giving us a chance, but knowing how our offense performs on a nightly basis, I can't blame the doubters. Hope we can surprise some people.

Couple ESPN ppl gave us a chance and made some great points... Boston’s starters are left handed and relievers are predominately right handed, that plays great into our offense. Start the righty heavy lineup, then you bring in the lefty hitters for their bullpen and don’t have to worry about a Hader

SI offered some good takes, a few picking each side in 6 or 7. (Which is how I see it)

The middle of Red Sox order is obviously very good, better than what the Dodgers can offer, but the Dodgers 1-8/9 can offer a deeper lineup.

The Dodgers bullpen is better, this is hard to dispute (especially given postseason performance).

Whoever delivers between Kershaw & Sale has a major advantage, the Red Sox other starters don't scare me, the love for Eovaldi is excessive, seems to me he is the perfect guy for the Dodgers to see, not saying they will destroy him though.

This. If the Dodgers can't even this number out, it may be over in four. If they do even it out, I say they'll take the whole thing.

Just noticed that MLB.com has Austin Barnes (.111) listed as the best catcher in the World Series.. LOL what is Boston using a AA player who is worse than our AAA player? No their tandom hit a whopping .192 but it is Grandmal and his porous D that gets excoriated in the article. LOL

    i actually like it
takes all the pressure off us and onto boston's shoulders
not doubt imo houston and boston were better than any nl team this year
    but it's all about matchups
when the alcs started i even said i'd prefer boston
    not saying were gonna win
but imo we have a much better shot against the chowds than houston

Just fast forwarded through 45 minutes of MLB tonight and they haven't talked about the Dodgers once lol. Fkags.

It's too bad we don't have home-field home field advantage. We could have plunked Sale in the belly button

Eovaldi is one of those guys that when he is on he will flat out dominate you, but if he is struggling finding the zone at all, this team could/should eat him up. Getting him up over 20 pitches an inning early needs to be the goal.

    it is a bit surreal
especially since i doubted we'd get this far
and you're right... the fo is nothing short of great
and not just with the acquisition of big name guys
but guys like freese and madson (and taylor, morrow, etc)
and the way they've (almost quietly) replenished the farm
they promised to put together a team that could contend every year, and they've done just that
our guys just need to find a way to win 4 of the next 7
and stealing game 1 would be a great start!

Sale makes everyone look stupid but he is considerably better against lefties than righties. 0 home runs against lefties this year, only 11 in his ENTIRE career. I say only righties in the starting lineup tomorrow: Taylor, Turner, Freese, Machado, Kemp, Puig, Enrique, Dozier, Barnes, with Kemp the DH. Once Sale is out, Muncy goes for Freese, Joc for Kemp, Bellinger for Dozier... or maybe you take out Enrique later and keep Freese so you do Muncy for Kemp, Joc for Enrique, Bellinger for Dozier.

    Bill Shaikin
    @BillShaikin

When the Dodgers hired Dave Roberts as manager, Alex Cora said Roberts asked whether he would be interested in joining the Dodgers’ coaching staff. At that point, Cora said, he liked the ESPN life

    Dead to me

It will be interesting to see which Sale shows up. The dude has not been the same guy the last month and now we have even more of a question mark after the sick thing. The weather could force him to rely more on his FB(which yay Kemp, Muncy and Hernandez, boo Dozier), but if his energy is down at all, he could be forced to rely much more on his slider(boo Kemp, Muncy and Hernandez, yay Dozier).

doubt roberts will do something that drastic
but imo it wouldn't be a bad idea at all
other than sale, price and one other guy are the only lhp

I'm really apprehensive about having Ryu start a game in Boston. With a day off om Thursday, maybe we can do a short leash or bullpen game? I just don't have any faith in him without 5 days rest and having it at Dodger Stadium.
