by this time this series concludes (possibly sooner) we'll be in 2nd place... and 5+ games back in the wild card which begs the question... what will it take for mattingly to be fired before season's end, or will he be allowed to finish regardless?

We've lost five in a row??? I legitimately thought we lost six in a row. Haha. These off days are the worst. I don't know the exact numbers but I'd bet we've lost probably like %95 of the games after an off day and/or travel day. This team is full of a bunch of pussy's tbh save for the ones y'all already know!!(CK,ZG,etc.)
Is Mattingly rehired or extended already? Is that the scoop or what? he's definitely back? If he is, then I think it safe to assume that the FO, in all of it's brilliance and " spectacular" moves and obscene payroll, must agree with his handling of the team and the results...and feel they want it to continue, or at least, have no problem with the way things are going...
I wonder if we fail will Mark Walters love of Mattingly be his saving grace, or if They finally have to pull the trigger.
They'll probably win 2 of 3 here and DBB will skate by at least a little while longer. That's been the cycle anyway. He'll have 1 finger holding on to the cliff and a rookie will have an otherworldly run that saves his ass, or the Giants will go cold and lose 10 games in a row, or Greinke will go Babe Ruth, or he'll have another baby and make Walter an uncle again...somethin's gonna save him.
