If you haven't been paying close attention, the Cubs schedule has been a bit brutal of late due to them having a shit ton of makeup games on their schedule and it has kept them from creating space in the Central. They are the opposite of us almost in that they mostly have home games remaining, but they have only one off day left(their last scheduled off day was Aug 20), a couple of the bad teams on their schedules are playing some interesting top prospects that could make things tough and the Brewers are not only on a bit of a roll while coming into Chicago for a 3 game set, but they only have these 3 with the Cubs and 3 with the Cards outside of 12 with some bad-terrible teams. The Central is by no means the Cubs as of this moment. Would not mind seeing Milwaukee taking 2 of 3 in Chicago to start the week.
Can't sleep on these FUX like we did the last time. We really need someone other than Turner to step up for once. Since Manny is tip-toeing until next year maybe Davey should get out of character and piss on a picture of Marge Schott and remind Kemp what she thought of his kind! rKacist!
Okay, wait a second. Roberts can’t be serious. http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/la-sp-dodgers-report-20180909-story.html?outputType=amp Or maybe he is that oblivious.
I don't care about Kershaw's history against Carpenter and the Cardinals. But here's the reason I hate this. It tells me that management is thinking, if we don't win the west let's at least win a WC spot. I fucken hate that mentality. Dodgers control their own destiny in the West. That should be their first and only priority at this point. We need to beat the bad teams, period. Sweeping SD and TEX was great, but then they shit the bed at home vs the Mets. What good does it do to have Kersh lined up against STL if we lose 2 of 3 in Cincinnati? As a matter of fact, he could pitch a gem in STL and still lose. The odds of a win go up with that same gem against CIN. We just need wins at this point. If we lose Wednesday because it's a bullpen game when it didn't have to be, I'm going to pissed. But I guess that would be par for this season.
stat of the day... "The Dodgers have yet to beat the Reds this season. Cincinnati swept the four-game series in LA earlier this season."
