    Considering the acquisition cost, his salary, versatility, and periods of great play, Kike has been a slam dunk for the Dodgers.
    He has worked hard to improve his game and we have seen tangible results. He has steadily reduced his K% 3 straight years, for instance.
    His rate stats, at times, indicate he could be a top 5 2B in baseball.
    But make no mistake...he is a role player and a platoon player.
    Expectations need to be re-calibrated, as well as his role.

    His ceiling is .256/.336/.470/118 wrc+ /16.9 K%
    His floor is .190/.308/.421/92 wrc+ /26.2 K%
    Right now .225/.304/.423/96 wrc+ / 24.2 K% (before he struck out twice today, btw)

    He is also as proven of a platoon player as Joc is.

    Career vs LHP .269/.358/.494/130 wrc+
    Career vs RHP .217/.284/.375/81 wrc+

    Don't hate him. Don't think he sucks. He is good for what he is. Considering there's nobody else to play 2B, perhaps he is the best option for now. But he is in over his head.

    It would behoove the Dodgers to find or eventually promote a 2Bman who can play every day.

    Then, reassign Kike to create a natural platoon with Joc, and fill in at various spots to give guys rest.

    I think you're underestimating his talent.

    He hits with power, can run, has a cannon for an arm and plays multiple positions well.

    As a everyday starter probably. But 2B doesn’t really have a high standard so realistically he’s fine. Just if Lux keeps raking... maybe.
