    I’d rather have Muncy personally

I'd call him a lot more than a flash.

He'll never be a GG, but he's adequate at 1B.

Wouldn't mind seeing Joc as part of a Vazquez deal. Tired of his act.

Idk about Max, but I'd move Pederson in a NY minute and throw in a good prospect.

Really doesn't seem to be necessary to have Gray out there nearing 110 pitches, does it?

Most he's thrown in 3 yrs and he's still dealing.

Shows that pitch counts aren't the be all, end all.

Wow...more errors than runs scored for us.
    A new trend.

Thought it was a given Joc can move
    Figure Muncy has more value
Why give up the young talent in numbers?

I don't know if it's something we will even consider, but I am all for trading Joc.

Nobody expects Joc (or anyone learning a new position) to be perfect. But he is otherworldly bad. We've had a lot of players convert to 1B or take spot starts there over the years and none of them have ever been this atrocious.

Joc's "shit play at 1B complication" from the past 4 weeks would be longer than the entire career of some players.

I can appreciate Joc for what he is (a streaky platoon bat and corner OFer who usually finishes with a respectable bottom line and comes up clutch in the post)...but I do not appreciate Joc for what he isnt...a 1Bman. I'm also starting to think he should be batting 7th or 8th unless he's really hot. His OBP isnt what it was in May.

I also disagree that we can 'afford' to continue this 1B experiment. It is causing collateral damage all over the infield. This defense has been horrid the last 2 months-plus. They have to settle in before it is too late. Part of that is putting guys in the correct positions. Extra outs will surely get us bounced earlier than we hope.

Apparently it's old school to find the best guys at their position and allow them to settle in

No CT, Kike and Freese which is the root of the problem, couple that with the reluctance to bring up Lux and you have Joc at 1st even though he CLEARLY sucks at the position. Yeah and the fact that it was a righty pitching. HOPING this last performance was the last straw!!!

Agree this is the root cause...how does the song go? You don't know what you've got until you lose it?
The frustration lies in the fact that they have options, rather than the inept scenario they stubbornly insist on.
Players see a light hitting befuddled lineup and a defense that belongs in a cartoon.
If Joc is the 1b because they want him to be in the lineup for his past post offense, how then will his pathetic
    inability play out ?
We just look and are playing like a team that happens to be in first place now, but the teams that are possibilities of squaring off against us must be bouyed to brimming confidence at that matchup.
Licking their chops...I would be watching these guys right now.
