remember those days well and a lot of it was due to tommy preaching dodger blue every waking moment i loved how it made other teams fans hate us and how good it felt when our guys celebrated on the field at old yankee stadium bring back the good old days beat la? beat this bkitches
Yeah, Tommy sure was a homer...never let you dismiss the Dodgers, ever. Always pumped them up, even when they played poorly... never waivered from the Blue and didn't care who didn't like it that way. If we only had a guy who supported the team, no matter what, as a public mouthpiece, and still felt that personal pronoun "we" was fine to use because that Blue blood courses through his veins, too...it would be a good thing...a tribute to Tommy's way, so to speak. Unashamed. Perhaps an ex- Dodger pitcher, as Tommy was...maybe even an all time MLB record holder. Hard to find these days, though...wouldn't be cool now.
It kinda was not cool in the 90's either. I remember the same types that disliked all of the 'we' stuff back then.
Nothing wrong with "we" between the lines or for those wearing the Blue. In broadcast booth it's another story (at least for me).

I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. Which does not mean hate or killing but more that he did not come to tell you nice words to just make you feel better. He came to tell you the truth, which divides like a hot sword through butter. Jesus came to spit hot fiyah! And the people were like... so when do we get our castles in the sky and our golden chariots, and our silk robes, and our crown of jewels? Jesus be like... I pity the fool who can't understand the words coming out of my mouth.
Whatever gets you through the on night, is all right, is all right. As you wrote, "for me", it's just a continuation of the politically correct stupidity that proliferates the country...a fucking festering boil on the subconscienceness of us all, imo. And Vinny is retired, probably feeling a bit down about his team, and Red Barber is dead.
No, wrong take away...what you wrote was fine...hence, the "whatever gets you through the night" comment. I just have a 180° opposite feeling about it all and think it's pc bullshit. You can think whatever you want.
Lineup I posted has been pulled, HMMMMMMM. Intrigue! Hope it's not an injury! UPDATE: Lineup back to the one posted earlier, much ado about nothing.
