never wanted his ass back in the 1st place. we should have Ausmus or Ozzie right now. at least Ozzie would've picked a fight with half the lineup and challenged these bums.

the babying needs to stop and the toughness needs to start. there needs to be a dust-up like last night almost every game. i think they've forgotten that this is competitive sports. a brawl would help them remember.

if Bochy retaliates for anything he needs to retaliate for Belt's thumb. on the other side of things..the Dodgers needs to start hitting first and stop being second to the fight, so i hope they go out and hit Pagan in the knee in his 1st at bat. time to start being the bully. Lasorda-mode needs to be activated. opposing teams thought they were soft last year and they proved it when they did nothing after Hanley got buzzed the NLCS and here they go again rolling over.

i'd like to see ALL questions about Puig answered in this form - " what do you mean?..i don't know what you're talkin about. he's in the lineup today " because i'm sick of other teams starting shit with him and then the Dodgers have to address the shit that opposing teams are cryin about. fuck them. i'd tell Puig to go out and have the Puiggiest day ever EVERY GAME.

Hmmmmm, Ummmmmmm! Dodgers have like the second best road record in baseball and a terrible home record. Hmmmmm, why might they be more comfortable away from LA than at home?

    A. No tv contract!
    1. Fans angry about it and give them grief wherever they go.
    2. Family and friends angry because they can't see their dad, hubby or bud etc play and let them hear it.
    3. Everyone asking them questions they can't answer.

    B. perpetual distractions caused by the tv contract and having the media driven outfield situation. How do you say distractions?

DBB doing wonders keeping it together.

i say give him until the all star break
he might be a players' manager and all, but they're not getting it done
and while i blame the players for not playing well, it's the managers job to get them to
i would rather be in first place with a manager everyone hated as opposed to a nice guy who can't get it done
    just my :2cents:

i think because donnie comes from the era that was prior to guys getting paid major dinero that he looks at his coaching contract like a payback he deserves for his years in baseball. remember his whiny ass wanting the extension and pouting in public at the presser? bitch. a guy that can act like that isn't going to lead anyone.
i also think this makes it pretty hard for him to find common ground with todays players when it comes to praise and discipline. they must be like petulant celebrities to him. i think he is in awe of guys on this club and really worries about upsetting them. he looks uncomfortable all the time.
wish he wasn't here but oh well, he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
the shit he does in ball games are almost predictable at this point. he has been doing it from day one so no surprises really but its irritating when you have a desire to see the team do everything it can to win games.
once a duck always a duck.
Dodger brass seems to be guilty of managerial indifference.

and there's probably not a MLB caliber manager out there that wants to juggle 4 outfielders AND deal with Puigmania..one or the other, but not both. maybe Ozzie would. maybe. Ozzie probably would've settled on an everyday lineup a long time ago and told either Ethier or Crawford to eat shit if they moaned about being left out. Lol we have too many good cops. there's gotta be at least 1 no-nonsense bad cop. Mattingly's definitely one of those guys that'd sit by and watch guys eat chicken, drink beer and play video games in the clubhouse during a slide. a pushover.

Tim wallach would probably do it differently.
He already does some of the most important work on the phone.

Must suck managing "Puigmania". All those homers and RBI's, laying out for every defensive play. Real headache there.

I liked Grady more than Torre. At least he was as advertised, a fucking halfwit just like his Bawsten years. Torre was a halfwit with rings, people actually thought he was good. A real "players manager."
