It's mostly the bullpen, that'd be Honeycutt's problem IMO.

It's everyone's fault. Well, not our starters. They've been pretty rad.

    pretty much this
you could find fault with just about anyone
never been a mattingly fan, but there's no way i can pin this on just him
he held a closed door meeting the other day
that should have fired up the players, but it didn't
    shame on them
if he's a player's manager and the players like him -- like they've all said
then they should have gone out with a little extra
but no, the same old boring lethargy we've seen for weeks
other than the starters, dee has been the one guy out there busting his butt
would be nice if his overpaid compatriots would do the same, even occasionally
hanley jogging out a ground ball yesterday is a microcosm of this me>team attitude
guys swinging for the fences with <two outs instead of just trying to start/extend a rally and leave it up to the next guy
chicks might love the long ball, but i -- as a fan -- would prefer w's

how much worse would it be if not for greinke and haren?
top 6 in wins, and top 14 in era
take half of their combined 11 wins away, and we're in the cellar

I thought he had his shots, and failed. I don't dislike him as a peson, but he's too JoTo for me. he's Torreible sometimes, head scratchingly obscure with his moves. This Ned assembled team is not good enough to win with? Then keep him, and send Ned's ass back to the Giants or Cleveland or some shit. Actually they both are losers, let's face it...just like HoF manager Joe Torre was.
And true, Wallach isn't the answer now, he's been around DBB too long; maybe a few years down the road, but somebody from out of the established, boring, underachieving minions we usually go with.
I say we have nothing to lose by offing DBB or Ned or both. Sooner or later, somebody's gotta grow a pair instead of watching the bridesmaid show for another quarter of a century.
Is it OK that the attendance is what it is and whether we win a WS is moot? I think that sometimes...
    Nothin' from nothin' leaves nothin'...
    Ya gotta get somethin'...
    Except the LAD, I guess.

While 13-7 on the road is to be commended that 7 - 12 record at home should entail 'some' sort of ass kicking policy change.

too much home cooking and staying out all night chasing tail is not getting it done.

We need a manager to act like a manager... you watch Hanley jog out a grounder? Then pay attention... he must be dog tired and need a rest on the pine for the remainder of the game and the next game to have energy to at least 'try' the day after tomorrow.

Watch Matty go 0-6 and never lift his bat off his shoulder on 3 AB's? Then it's 100 pitches of BP for him for the next two days until he's scrubbed the rust off his swing. And then tell the BP pitchers not to give him any fastballs or easy strike pitches. Make him work for it.

Ethier can't hit lefties? OK then 100 pitches of BP off only lefties until he can consistently hit it past the infield.

Puig keeps missing the cut off man? Then fine him $30,000 per game (~2014 salary / 162 games) and make him watch "Fundamentals of Baseball" and write a damned report on it, in English, and read it in front of the team while sitting out the next game.

If you keep rewarding slackers then the other kids think it's all right to slack off.

Even here, you have to look deeper. We've scored 63 runs in 11 games against Arizona and Minnesota, teams with just about the worst pitching staffs in baseball. We've scored 96 in 28 games against everyone else. That won't cut it

Firing DBB isn't about DBB, It's about this team with the soul of a redhead needing to have a fire lit under it. Managers know when they get these jobs that they will ultimately be fired for someone else's failure. I say can him and try to wake this team from its coma.

    The question is.

How much money is Walter willing to eat? Doesn't matter if it's Ethier, Crawkford or the Chinchilla. Ethier is the best choice over Crawkford because of age, health and talent. They can get more for him. The Chinchilla might get a better return because he's black (j/k, LOL). Big contracts and injury prone hacks scare even the Yankees and Red Sox.

But then again. We have Ned and we know how good he is at getting good return value.

Yep. Maybe our bench coach wasn't the problem. Maybe he hires a yes man for that position. Just sayin....
