I don't get why a low obp high swing% guy like Jones is batting 2nd. Although he's done okay so far

I meant that for Moustakas, he had the HR and then 2 errors(for some reason they didn't give him the deserved 3rd). Couldn't field shit

 

Wood started off wobbly, but figured it out in a hurry. A weak single through a shifted IF after a walk got the first inning going for the Sox, but he settled and looked damn good. Had both the curve and slider going a couple batters in and the deception had the Sox off balance.

Forsythe hit the ball hard and made a couple really slick defensive plays. Yes, he's a step up over Utley.

Puig went 0-2 with a BB. Looked great in his first two AB's which included a walk and probably 100+ MPH liner to LF. Compact and laying off the breaking stuff. The booth noted that it was the best he's looked at the plate since he first came up. Then in his 3rd AB got out of it again, which was noted also by Ned and Monday. I guess the good news is he knew it when he did it. Layed off a couple to work the count, but k'd on sinker away. His arm still works.

DJ Peters started in CF which is fun, still a couple years away and he's really gonna have to shorten his swing.

Verdugo had a nice hit on a breaking pitch away and out of the zone in the WBC game still going. Impressed the booth as well as Ben Badler who tweeted as much. He K'd later and grounded out , but his bat to ball skills are what should be regarded as annoying by others in the NL West.

I want the Dodgers to sign Quiroz to a MiLB deal, guy looks like a pest for Mexico.

 

The good news, the dodgers rolled out a bunch of pitchers tonight on the 40 man who combined for 8IP, 1ER and 14k's... then some guys who aren't pitching for the Dodgers this year or likely ever came in and... well they didn't do great....

I don't seem to be able to see the Dodgers like everyone else does, so I am not aware of who is doing what, except for here. Which is great.
But one name I don't think I've read all ST long, is Logan Forsythe.
Is he playing, or just not worth mentioning so far?

 

Thompson in CF, Toles back in the lineup, while both Bellinger and Dickson continue to get plenty of PT.

 

Game will be on the Angels channel... you know they actually broadcast all the spring training games..........

 

Take it up with Stan Kasten and Mark Walter. They could've stayed on a channel that already had distribution for a comparable package but decided to go with Time Warner. They won't broadcast games nobody will watch. 1 o clock in the afternoon on a weekday when 70 percent of televisions don't have the channel. Doesn't make financial sense. Count the fact that all bars and restaurants have DirectTv...

Sucks. But it is what it is.

 

Yup, I asked Alanna Rizzo about the lack of broadcasts and she said it makes almost no financial sense. Viewership is shit, nobody is interested in sponsoring ST games, it's expensive moving a whole TV crew for a month+, plenty of reasons why not to broadcast every game. I wish they would at least coordinate with other teams so that we can get at least one way to watch or listen to a game. Annoying when one day there is no TV or radio for either team and then the next all 4 are covered.

 

Been playing great. Lots of hard contact and has made some slick plays in the field. He was out for a little time as they "lubricated" his knee.

So Willie Calhoun just made a really nice play on a tough hop, but he was definitely a little on the slower side to getting it out of his glove. To be honest, it would have been a hell of a play had he gotten it done to turn two, but I was impressed with that he at least was able to get one out.
