    like the repeat shows draw more viewers?
    but i guess they don't need to spend to make those happen
    too bad cause its great seeing the minor league guys

    This is where they really drop the ball in my opinion. They could grab more intense fan interest by broadcasting these games and then they could start broadcasting MiLB games during off hours and would really grow the brand.

    As long as they're only available on Spectrum, they will not be producing much more than the minimum.

    Would be kind of interesting what if any impact a Harper signing would do. Though back to back World Series appearances didn't move the needle for DirecTV at all so I would not be shocked if they still refused to sit at the negotiating table.

    Spectrum needs to cut their fee in half, move to 4k and add another team to the channel to make it more attractive. Even then, DTV still probably says no. DTV will dominate every bar and restaurant because of Sunday Ticket. They dont need another expensive RSN

    Of the two games I've watched a bit, certainly not the Dodgers of course, I've seen a HR by Kemp, and near miss hr double by Grandal, Puig, Wood, Machado...oh, and the up in smoke status to all the Nolan Arenado mystical lineups of the future.
    Seems ike something...don't know exactly what, is breaking up that old gang of ours...

    The A's have been a mess defensively it sounds like. Couple more hits from Verdugo, though so he has heated up.

    LOL.....just saw todays Box Score. Anyone notice the roster for today...... Peter, Peters, Peterson, Pederson.....I want this lineup in MLB at some point.

    They had an OF of Peterson, Peters and Pederson at one point... then took them out and put Peter in. Folks on twitter were rooting for the 4 of them to be in at once.

    Joe Kelly making his debut right now. This is a little weird as Roberts said that Kelly and Jansen would not be seeing game action until next week.

    Also, no idea who that Boyle guy was last inning, but the Rockies RHH's were absolutely unloading on him. A bunch of home run derby swings.

    Man, Smith is really struggling behind the plate right now.... and this umpire is pretty rough as well. Couple of close ones that have not been called, shoulda been strike 3 inning over right there.

    Nice to see Taylor having a solid spring thus far. Just ripped a double to dead center.

    Smith just dug one out of the dirt and sent it to the track in CF as well. Him having a good camp is pretty important to me. Want to see some insurance for the Martin/Barnes scenario.

    Bellinger and Yimi add to impressive showings as Dodgers lose to D’backs

    The Los Angeles Dodgers saw more signs of a promising 2019 season lying ahead for Cody Bellinger, albeit in a 6-5 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.

    With a pair of walks and error loading the bases, Bellinger gave the Dodgers a lead in the third inning by delivering a two-run double off left-hander Robby Scott. The extra-base hit was his second of the game and third this spring.

    Kiké Hernandez’s sacrifice fly and Chris Taylor’s RBI single extended the Dodgers’ lead to 4-1 before Scott could get out of the inning. Kyle Garlick’s RBI double in the seventh inning added an insurance run.

    Jaime Schultz, Yimi Garcia and Dustin May backed Brock Stewart with scoreless work, only for Josh Sborz and Joe Broussard to lose the lead in the late innings.

    Stewart allowed one hit — a solo home run to Domingo Leyba — over his two innings of work in his second start of the spring. Stewart retired the side in order on just seven pitches in the second inning, and finished the day by throwing another inning in the bullpen.

    Meanwhile, Garcia added to his encouraging showings thus far in spring. He struck out a pair, giving him six strikeouts over three scoreless innings across three appearances this year.

    The bullpen’s scoreless work came to an end in the bottom of the seventh when Sborz entered and immediately struggled. An error and double put two on with nobody out, and Sborz compounded matters by walking the next two batters, with the second free pass bringing in a run.

    Tim Locastro’s sacrifice fly then cut the Dodgers’ lead to 5-3. Broussard entered with two outs and promptly hit a batter before giving up a bases-clearing double to Yasmany Tomas that gave the Diamondbacks a decided lead.

    There is a real chance for the bullpen to be pretty lethal this year, especially if Kenley is back to taking his working out seriously. Jansen, Kelly, Baez and Floro should be a more than solid foundation. The pool of names they will be pulling from this year is deeper in depth and upside than we have seen with this FO yet, plus the 3 prospects that can hump it up to the high 90's and in Gonsolin's case, touch triple digits. A lot can go wrong very quickly with a bullpen, but there is a lot that could go very right if some of these guys step up.

    i think gonsolin could be a difference maker
    throws upper 90's effortlessly and that split is nasty
    only prob (that we've talked about) is that fastball is pretty flat
    if honeycutt could get him a new grip, arm slot, take a couple mph off, whatever... to get a little movement
    dude could become an elite reliever imo

    i know may is probably further away
    but there's another guy throwing upper 90's with minimal effrt
