    diaz seems like a good dude and he'll take full responsibility for this. but ffs why he needs to show us all how clever he is. diaz doesn't look at all like himself and this would have been a really big win coming off the sweep. fucking minor mind in control of the vault because dei. fuck off davey.

    Edlose has more blown saves in the past week than Scott has for the entire season. Tanner is far from perfect but he’s a hell of a lot better than trumpets

    Tanner Scott has a 2.27 ERA and has converted 16-18 saves. fuck you Dave. Diaz should be relegated to mop up duty, period. another option, like what. Edwin Diaz is currently the worst pitcher in all of MLB BY FAR. that isn't an exaggeration, it is a statistical fact.

    It’s true that he isn’t putting himself in the games but man, he’s been given the easiest set ups possible with save opportunities vs the weakest hitters on the opposing teams twice now. He was signed and paid to be one of the better closers in the sport and somehow has turned into the worst pitcher in the sport.

    I definitely blame Davey more for sure because we have had a good closer all year and Roberts has turned him into a one batter specialist for whatever reason. The give me another option quote is beyond maddening. Like Chief said, Scott is a way better option and 16 of 18 is really good. Davey is just addicted to letting guys try to figure it out at the cost of the team. Last year when Scott had meltdown after meltdown, he kept putting him in save situations. So naturally when Scott is pitching at an elite level and getting the job done 95% of the time, Davey wants nothing to do with him.


    Here’s another option for you Davey…anyone with a damn pulse. An era over 11 and an opponent batting average that would make Ted Williams proud isn’t exactly the highest bar you doofus

    At an event and followed the game on my phone. Got home in time to see the game tied at 4-4.

    Chevron's gas isn't the most expensive in Calif. It's the octane being pumped at Dodger Stadium by Diaz. He's a disaster of Hindenburg proportions. 11.57 ERA. Last night featured fastballs on a platter. Scott could have easily been brought out for the 9th after just five pitches in the 8th.

    Credit to Roki for battling through six despite five BBs and just two Ks.

    Another feckless effort at the plate. Just four hits. Possum's 3 run blast should have been enough, though.

    I'm not buying what Roberts told the media about Diaz' role in the short term. He doesn't make these decisions unilaterally. There will obviously been some serious discussions.

    Last night's paid attendance was 46,105. Let's say for the sake of argument that all the workers, coaches, players and umpires added 1000 more.


    There were 47,104 people in the stadium who knew what the outcome would be if Diaz got the ball in the 9th, and only one who didn't.

    We've said this for 7+ years regarding this team: the Dodgers have won 3 WS in 6 years DESPITE DEI Dave.

    If Gugg keeps Roberts, it isn't because he's a great manager. He isn't. I bet my life that any one here could have managed the Dodgers to more overall wins & at least one more WS ... I'm not kidding.

    The guy is a loser. Full Stop.
