That he hit his spots on two called thirds last night is what caught my eye. But you're right, his curve needs to be sharper.

That Seager scored easily last night was encouraging. CF fielded that ball in shallow center field. Seager obviously made a good read and got a good jump on it, but I was surprised how easily he beat the throw home. Perhaps that hammy is 100% at last.

I was just watching the replay, and Corey committed almost on contact, which is a little surprising being that the ball flared out there, and at least from the perspective of the camera, did not clear the second baseman's glove by much. It probably cleared by more than it looks, but Corey made that determination a hell of lot quicker than I would have. Either a great read or just lucky. It was all-or-none at that point.

Watching the ball flight and the fielder from 30 feet away, and in person, is better than seeing it on a TV but yeah, it was a gutsy play by Corey.

He probably thought to himself "Fuck Kenley" when he started running too! ;) :D

Another question is: Was Kenley warming up in the event of the 9th ending in a tie?

I don't know I had to work but he did say he wanted to pitch more and that somehow was the reason why he has SUCKED so bad lately.

I had someone not too long ago try to tell me he would still be a good starter. Not throwing 90% fastballs he won’t
