If they would do it the Lakers should bite. Deng is obviously in there to make the money work. And the Hornets could rebuild with a good core of young players making cheap money so having Deng around to babysit wont be so bad for them. They wont be going after big salaried FA anyway. They could really rally around Cousins and Jrue and make them the team leaders at C and PG then fill in Clarkson, Ingram, Kuzma in the other spots and probably be a better overall team than they are now. Cousins might like living in NO and being the man on that team and in that city enough to sign long term. He cant be the man as it is now unless they trade Davis.
Not a chance. Kuz and Ingram are going no where.....as well as Deng, sadly. To boot IF Nolans is moving anyone it will be Boogie in Feb before he walks as a FA next year. The Boogie-Davis thing may be working but they will never win anything with the two of them, this version of the NBA is way too fast for any team with 2 centers now matter how dominate they are. But in all honesty before any of that talk comes about Nolans needs to fall out of contention currently 7th in the standings. So I could see a scenario where Nolans falls out of contention and MGT offers Randle/Clarkson/Zubac for 1/2 a season of Boogie hoping that they can convince him to resign with them after playing with Ingram/Kuzma/Ball.
