Fair enough, but what makes you think Ayton has to be generational for them to be a thorn in LAL's ass? I get that things are looking up for LAL and am damn happy about it, but they haven't quite landed the stars just yet, dude. Booker is currently better than anybody on LAL's roster. I mean we hope LAL's young players continue to get better, but that's where it stands right now. If Ayton is just Booker level for PHX they could bring a tough game to LAL well into the future.

You made the point about Sarver and he definitely sucks, but even he's managed to get it right on occasion and getting James Jones in that FO recently was a start. Now this 1st overall pick that may not even be Ayton or Doncic, but instead Kawhi or Dame Lillard..I just don't like the thought of PHX adding potential impact assets. LAL doesn't have that sort of cushion just yet

7'1" kid named Mitchell Robinson supposedly has a promise from LAL @ #25
    Some Rudy Gobert potential

Another Pringles team bending over on defense in the playoffs. Say it isn't so.

Towns potentially getting traded and maybe to PHX, rumors building
BTW, Towns is trash defensively and pretty soft offensively although he obviously produces..maybe you could call him a more seasoned Ayton, but Ayton looks more athletic and is probably tougher
But Towns and Booker are BFFs, so there's that, trying to make Booker happy

NBA playoffs are so predictable and so unwatchable.

Yeah, I'm shocked. Lol I hope HOU gets the doors blown off their ass.
And the way Paul George's agent is posturing with Julius and leaking stuff concerning LAL, I think this thing with George taking the extra 40M and staying in OKC could have legs.
I kinda hope it does too, I don't feel good about LAL giving George 30M a year.
I know Mike Conley and some other mid-level stars are getting 30M per these days, but that doesn't make it right..damn near 1/3 of the payroll.
    I wouldn't give George 30M a year and I wouldn't give Julius the max.
I'd rather split that 30M in 2, however it works, and poach CP3 and Ariza for a couple seasons, put them with LeBron. A short 2-3 year run with LeBron/CP3 as the headliners while keeping Zo, Ingram and Kuzma. Add in Ariza, Hart and Lopez and that's a solid 8. Just need a couple more young contributors to make it through the reg-season and then move to the 8 or 9 man rotation in the playoffs.
LAL would probably be assured of the 2-seed next year if they steal CP3 and Ariza away from Houston, Houston can't handle that sort of departure..although, they do have some depth and their system plays, losing a couple 2 way guys like that would end them - big picture. That's a lot of their toughness leaving.
Certainly wouldn't mind CP3 finally landing, think he has a couple years of high end ball left in him, obviously knows the game and how to play on and off the ball, and with Zo around he wouldn't have to go balls out in the reg-season at all times. Perfect for him, really. Especially if LeBron and Ingram are around to handle the ball as well

What's the perfect sport? We complain about the luck and randomness of MLB postseason, the 1 and done nature of the NFL playoffs, and the predictable NBA postseason.
    Is there such a thing?
I know I didn't predict the Celtics storming through the east without their couple star players.

    ...

Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka told The Times on Friday that the Lakers’ front office is constantly in touch with Julius Randle’s representatives, and there has been “a mutual exchange of interest and hoping that we can work something out for both sides.”

However, it seems like Randle’s camp doesn’t think that such interest has been completely communicated, and isn’t even entirely sure whether the Lakers want to keep Randle at all (Via Ganguli):

”We still have no indication of where Julius stands among the Lakers’ priorities, or if he is a priority at all,” Randle’s agent Aaron Mintz said Saturday in response to Pelinka’s comments. “We are looking forward to the marketplace in July, when we will get a clear picture of Julius’ future.”

This ... doesn’t look great for the Lakers on its face. If an agent feels as though he has to posture in the media like this, it not only makes it look like Pelinka look like he is being misleading to the public, but it also could mean that negotiations — if they’re happening at all — are going poorly enough for Mintz to take the rarely seen step for an agent of going on the record to voice his displeasure.

“There have also been rumblings that the Dallas front office will look to make additions this summer that can put the team back on a winning track,” wrote O’Connor. “The Mavericks can create space to sign a max free agent, and multiple league sources expect them to pursue a trio of big men: DeAndre Jordan, DeMarcus Cousins, and restricted free agent Julius Randle. If the Mavericks do indeed plan to pursue expensive bigs in free agency, then it’d make sense to target a primary scorer, like Porter, rather than Bamba.”

Lol In red - there's no way..is there?

Dray Dray is one dirty player. His ass needs to be suspended again this post season.

I watched about half the 4th quarter
Blows the mind how Curry alone can score 18 in a quarter but then they get 12 as a team in the 4th last night
They let Harden off the hook
