They'll probably issue warnings to both sides before first pitch, so I doubt we'll see anything.

Idk about that, but the Dodgers should focus more on winning than getting into fights.

Grienke should be more focused on hitting the damn strike zone instead of a batter and I'm sure he'll give it his best shot. Step up Zack!!!!

Greinke really needs to step the hell up. In a major way. Like 7 innings of no run ball.

you want to finish strong going into the ASB... 2/3 is a must, just to keep them within reaching distance... 2/3 gets us to 44-46, and if they take 3/4 from Colorado later its 47-47... that's just .500...

I know the immediate target is AZ, but the real target should be Cincinnati, who has the WC... The important thing is to make the playoffs in any possible way, and they are 7.5 ahead, 12 games above .500...

I'm a believer that the games in April, May and June are as important as the ones in September... a win you get today is one you wont need to get in the last week... I hate when they say "its a long season"... they need to get their shit together early on and run away with the division, so on September they are cruising the way while every other team is burning its players trying to lock a playoff spot...

I don't understand the WC being the real target. The NLW division is way easier, and way better to win. the WC is the furthest thing from my mind at this time.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to go after the NL Central teams. Even if the Pirates stumble, they still have the cards and the Reds. My ideal situation way back when we were losing games left and right was to reach .500 by the all star game and then go after AZ right after. Now that we're close, it should still be our goal. The NL West is winnable if we can keep playing well with everyone else in the division either sliding or are showing their true colors as a mediocre team.

Agreed, and AZ can't "have our number" anymore. If we got off to a better start, it might not matter as much. But they own us and we are 4.5 games back. If we can't beat them face to face we're in big trouble.

You reading way too much into my post. NZ said it was "critical" and I agreed its important but not critical. Critical implies we don't win in this series it is over to me at least. We made up 3 spots and gained multiple games in a short period of time. I believe we can still do that but again I want to win as many as possible this week.

I meant record wise... I would hate to be on that one-game-and-out situation, but I would rather have the WC as a possible backup than having no backup... and there's no way this team cant have the same record as the Reds (not counting that I have a $100 bet with a co-worker about which team would end with a better record)...

There is no way the second place team in the NL West will have a better record than 2 teams from the Central/East. If we're good enough to get a WC spot, we'll be 6+ games ahead in the West.

Streams flat out will not work on the campus internet. It only works on a 3G connection. Are any of these streams compatible on phones? The streams Nirvana, MZA, etc post every now and again are great; do they work on iphones? Got 4 hours to kill on campus tonight. Need Dodger baseball.
