    Being a relief pitcher is one of the best jobs in the world. You pitch about an inning 2-3 times a week and get to sit on your ass and watch 98% of the game while getting paid millions. Despite the limited duties, they still manage to fuck shit up when they're not asked to do much

    Fuck relief pitchers. Lazy, good for nothing bums.

    the naysayers will argue that it was just a bad day for everyone involved, which it was
    but to me, a collective meltdown by the entire pen is a sign of a much more serious problem
    my question is what are these hacks doing between games to stay sharp
    because whatever it is, it isn't working
    and that falls on the coaching staff
    not going to blame mattingly entirely, because that's what a bullpen coach is for
    still, dbb has to be aware of all things at all times
    it sucks, and it may not be fair, but it comes with the job
    and it's also what makes guys like bochy so good

    another question...
    since we were told that losing to >.500 teams means nothing in the long run
    does the same apply when losing to shit <.500 teams?

    We do a fucking shitty job at holding runners also. We gave up way too many extra bases last night it was ridiculous.
