Should have been a sweep but taking 3 of 4 with pitchers named wright and frias and Perez is a win all in itself. Let's wrap this bitch up at the magic castle now

This game was not as terrible as I thought it would be.

He really doesn't suck, the start a few days ago aside...it's just that his manager doesn't know when he's had enough. Always try to get the extra inning out of these guys....or the extra batter, like Paco and JP yesterday. For a guy that's around this team all fucking day/night, he sure seems like he just don't know when to step down or let up on the accelerator.
How can a fan feel it 3000 miles away, and a manager in the dugout doesn't? I'm not talking the "hindsight"BS here; I'm talking as it happens.
We all have had that experience with Donnie.
Right? I have it almost every night.

I'm still kinda hoping the Brewers can fuck them over and leap frog them.

Not gonna happen, but it'd be funny.

Had to listen to the Chicago broadcast today, and not all that bad actually. One smart comment on the LAD like "if this offense plays like this in the post season, they will steamroll through everybody. The pitching staff has been somewhat iffy the last two weeks or so..but it won't matter if they hit like this"..absofuckinglutely.
And what I thought (non-BB related), but fascinating...AJ Ellis name is Ellis, because when his grandmother came from Hungary, they asked her what her name was, and she couldn't speak a word of English...so she looked up and pointed to the Ellis Island sign, so that became their family name.
Does anybody remember a story about a boy who came from Sicily named Vito Andolini, and when asked the same question, couldn't answer either,so they named him what was on his ID tag, the town he was born in.
    Corleone.

One more thing about DBB (or two): that's how to use Paco; like you did today...you'll catch on boyo- keep reading our posts here.
And I heard 100 times yesterday about Donnie's great plan if we won, how he was going to save Haren for SF and do a BP game today in lieu of a proper starter. But we lost, so the best laid plans....
So today, he starts all BP guys, so what was the great plan?
What effect did a W or an L have on BP Day?
...and please....don't be overconfident... wait until we win it before all the shit starts, if you feel so inclined. But let it happen first.

My problem with Frias and even Baez for that matter is that they lack command with their off speed pitches. They have good fastballs, but if that's all you can throw for a strike, MLB hitters are going to sit on it.

There is some truth to what you write, but I believe (in these cases) it's just a matter of experience...they have none. Frias looks like he throws a nice two seamer, but can't control it yet, not with any consistency. I think he needs to toe the extreme first base side of the rubber on his delivery mechanics.
Baez seems to have less movement than Frias, but a bit more pure power.
I don't know if they are post season roster worthy, but I think they have a future with the team.
Then again, I thought the same with Rubby deLa Rosa, and he's gettin clobbered in Beantown.
