    I just really don't want to see the Dodgers back their way into the playoffs. Go on a roll here and earn the bye, don't rely on Reds, Marlins, and Astros (if I'm recalling correctly) to beat the Braves. Would be nice building a little momentum, fueled by timely hitting, especially with RISP, to exorcise some demons and create confidence.

    I sorta think the fabricated standing O they gave him earlier in the season was counter-effective. Made him feel shittier knowing that it wasn't genuine. Now with the success on this road trip, he may receive a more-earned applause which could have a better effect.

    Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
