What a bust Zach Lee has been. $5M signing bonus. I never thought he'd be a star, but always hoped he'd be a Billingsley type.

We can afford that disappointment. Maybe we can morph him into a spot BP guy.

I'm really hoping Frias becomes a star...that he settles down and learns how to pitch rather than just throw.

I often repeated a quote by Logan White, "ahead of Billingsley, below Kershaw". He was looked at as a solid #2 when he came out of high school because of his control and he had a nice changeup. Problem is his fastball never developed and he got hit more as he advanced... add a general lack of confidence and you have someone who wished they stayed at LSU.

Still stunned we signed as it was during we're only spending 130K on the IFAM days of McCourt.

Honestly don't see Lee as someone who would have success in a bullpen. His fastball doesn't get up there enough in velocity or have enough movement, not to mention he doesn't have a nasty secondary offering to go with it. His upside is back end starter and his floor is Triple A starter.

Tulsa and OKC are gonna be a lot of fun for very different reasons. Tulsa will have the clubs top hitting prospects (Verdugo, Callhoun, Bellinger and maybe Scavuzzo & Mieses), but light on pitching (Anderson[?], De Jong and Sborz). OKC is gonna be somewhat light on the hitting appeal(Johnson and maybe Thompson/Barnes when the team starts getting healthy) but pitching is where it will be at (Lee, Urias, De Leon, Montas, Frias and Rhame), though there could be a logjam when guys start getting healthy as well. This could be a big year for the state of the farm. Another season like last year(virtually every prospect having good-great years in the top 30) and the franchise will have a lot of toys to play with. Also, based on the roster projections, don't be shocked if Tulsa and OKC have down years record wise as I mentioned above, the teams are not very evenly set up.

Rancho Cucamonga's preliminary roster is out and includes top prospects Grant Holmes and Yusniel Diaz. (Got from Twitter)

I say it every year but, I wanna check out a game over there this year. Our friend CRod should be out there in June I believe

Mieses and Sborz are in Rancho. Felt Mieses was a long shot for AA, a little surprised by Sborz in Hi-A again, but they are trying to stretch him out as starter so it does make some sense. Aside from Holmes and Diaz like doyerfan said, some guys to watch are Leon and Oaks. Leon looked like a star in the making in 2014, but had a horrible line in 2015. The knock on him was his D was pretty rough, but his numbers behind the dish were not bad last season, so he may have been focusing strongly on the other side of the game and it affected his hitting(let's hope).

    I enjoy these.

Anderson is "cheeks" as Based would say. Dude is the next first round bust.

Was thinking, "Awesome outing, Anderson!" then came walks and the no K's. Not sure why the team continues to waist their time trying to make him a starter. The reports on him has always been that he is a reliever and results show that he does not have the capability of being a good SP. Take his mid-upper 90's FB and put it in the pen where we could potentially have a few big arms coming down the road.

Yeah, it's not like we need relievers or anything.
