So am I but sadly he's not on the 40 man roster so it would take a small miracle for him to get a call.

Yeah, too many guys on the 60 Day that have a chance to come back this year and really nobody else you'd want to drop.

TrueBlueLA got it right, that should be his last start in AAA this season. No fucking clue what else this guy has to prove and he offers something better than what we are currently getting from spot starters and back-end types. His ceiling is that of a #2 starter, but we are still seeing what guys like Brock Stewart and Ross Stripling can do? Now I really like both of those guys, but they are exactly what they are, back of the rotation starters. Trying De Leon would be on par with what the Mets did last year when they started calling up the kids. De Leon could fall flat on his face, but he could also come up and continue to deal. If he sucks, then he sucks, but he also has the stuff to be our game 3 starter if he comes up and deals like many people project him to.

Walker Buehler had a hell of a debut, sat 96-98 with his FB, showed 3 good pitches and 3 K's in 2 IP. If he's healthy and back, he's projected as a front of the rotation arm that could move quickly. Would be nice to see him join Alvarez as the next arms in waiting.

Completely agree but the problem is the 40 man roster of which he is not a part of and would take a major overhaul to clear. Not yo mention a vast amount of financial hits but we'll see.

There are definitely some guys that the team could move to get him on the roster, though you are right, it would be tough. There are players on the DL who could go to the 60 in SVS or McCarthy if the team doesn't think they can get back, Guys on the active or DL that could be just DFA'd in SVS, Culberson, Fien, Anderson and I know this is not popular, but Baez who has pitched like absolute shit. There is some juggling to do, but I think there are options where they would be making the team better by moving someone that is a solid big leaguer, but not something that this team will miss too terribly.

I didn't know Buehler threw that hard honestly and that's his first outing in over a year too. Wow.

I don't think anyone knew he threw that hard. The sheets I've seen on him are he was 90-96. There was a report last week that the Dodgers are sending guys to this center in Seattle(?) to learn to throw with greater velocity with proper mechanics. I wonder if they did that here to get him back on the right track with his mechanics and to develop a more stable velocity range. There is also a lot of talk about his slight build, so the team could have put him on a weight building regiment.

Yeah I read about that. Pretty interesting.

Shit now I'm waiting for him to touch 100 as he's building back up. Lol

Think they send him straight to Rancho to start next year? He's kind of an older prospect getting started at this point.

Was just looking at De Leon's last 10 starts and he's only given up more than 2ER's (1.1 IP 7ER abberation) once in that span... 7 IP+ in half of those starts
