Damn Cain to the DL!!! I was looking forward to beating his ass. Marlon Byrd going nuts as many predicted he would in SF while Chase is looking like shit! Puig to the DL as well, Peraza brought up.

    bonds got what he deserved
payback for all those years being a cantankerous, mercurial douche
one of the best hitters i've ever seen... but (as we found out) it was aided
sf grew tired of his act, and he knew it ... remember seeing him at the winter meetings trying to pimp his services?
not sure it was collusion; can easily imagine teams not wanting to take on all that baggage -- his personality issues and the looming balco controversy
then again, i could easily imagine the old boys club (mlb owners) saying "fuck that guy" behind closed doors

no doubt he's douche who deserves EVERYTHING that happens to him

    but

    the point was that

the MLB old white boy billionaire network wasn't going to see any player or outsider upset it's apple cart

He was a Hall Of Famer before he started juicing. But competition and his ego got the best of him.

Fuck him. Piece of shit women hitting coward.

Collusion won this time. And I am glad it did.
No one wanted his ass. No even the roid culture driven Giants.

If Barry put up the numbers he did in 07 as a 43 year old and did it clean then this nigga is easily the goat

No doubt he was aided by the roids but without them I still think he's one of the goats

Picked up a Daily News today, and there was an article about worst and best moves at the trading deadline a month down the line...not that it's written on the proverbial stone or anything, but number one worst was "LADodgers...Latos, Johnson and Wood ( no mention of Frankie Avilan), with Latos as the shit leader-surprise!
What sucked even more, was the best move was Price, whose name was so prominent to be in the starting rotation in so many dream posts right here.
Oh well, maybe we'll have the last laugh.

God, don't get me started. Probably the most boneheaded move and non-move this FO has made.

    imo aided is massive understatement
he didn't just get better after his 35th birthday -- he put up four of the best individual offensive years in mlb history
at a time when mortal players begin to decline, he got markedly better
that just doesn't happen -- nor does one's hat and shoe size get bigger
so yes, he would have been a hall of famer and a great player regardless
but to say he was better than ruth, gehrig, mantle, mays, aaron, et al... i just can't

Some people, I won't mention names, also feel that trading Uribe away to get Callapso, then DFA'ing Callapso to make room for Utley was not exactly Hawkingsesque, either. I've read it "was about the money" but that's quite laughable actually, when you consider the 80 + mil for guys not too play for us...maybe this is where the "penny wise and pound foolish " nugget has it's roots, eh?

yeah...so true. And when you compare him to a guy like Williams, who also served this country so well and consequently gave his best years away...Bonds is fecal matter.
I know Ted was supposed to be a prick...probably was...in that category, Barry was his match. A flat out scumbag.

I definitely this side of the argument as well
But how much did the roids increase his numbers
In the seasons after the MLB started testing for steroids (was it 03? correct if wrong) from 04-07 as a 39-42 year old Bonds was putting up monster offensive numbers
If he did so clean (never failed a test--also correct if wrong bc im about to watch the eagles and aint doin much research) then that just makes u think what he could have done clean in his prime years.
Plus the era thing, its hard to compare but its easilly much more of a pitchers league nowadays than it was back then. To be the offensive goat now is harder than doing it 80 years ago. Idk thats up for debate also

One thing to take into account is the massive armor they let him wear while he was hanging over the plate. And that pitchers can't come inside anymore because the pussy MLB rules forbid it. Take away his armor and let the motherfucker stand in against Drysdale and find out if he was as good as advertised!!!
