Not entirely sure, but if it is we can 1) start watching for CK's hair loss and 2) begin Ethier's services..

Really? Is this the answer to breaking the 28 year drought?
Jeez, you would think would've known that by now...
    Hope it is.

So Kershaw's hairline determines whether or not we pursue him if he opts out? The story of Samson is all too true.:console:

I was gonna make fun of them for that trade again, but damn I had no clue that Will Smith is signed through 2019. Bickford is suspended for a second positive drug of abuse charge and Susac has looked anything but special since the trade as well. Fucking Giants making a trade and coming out smelling like roses as always, even with a TJ surgery.

And with this recent discovery, the LAD have replaced former partners Emirates with Rogaine

It will be interesting to see how the team sorts this out. Trading Kazmir and McCarthy are probably out of the question at least for now that Stewart is down for an indeterminate amount of time... and Kazmir is hurt as well. With the way Braun is pouting on the Brewers he may not be long for them, but doubtful the FO wants to take on all of his contract and ever more occurring attitude disruptions. If the rare, never before seen thing happens where we do get a healthy Kershaw, Hill, Maeda, McCarthy, Ryu, Kazmir and Wood, it will be intriguing to see how the FO sorts through the mess.

If your theory is correct, Rogaine would just be a masking agent.

According to Bowden, the White Sox are working hard to trade Quintana by opening day. I feel like now would be the time to do such a thing, but whatever floats their boat. He says the Astros and Braves are the strongest pursuers as of now. There have been reports the last couple of days of White Sox scouts at different camps admitting to the likelihood of a Quintana deal. The rumors currently are that the White Sox are entirely realistic with their asking price, so it seems like a stretch a deal could get done, but the word is that they really would like to make one.
Not saying that the Dodgers are linked in anyway, but with the abundance of players on the rise in our system, it would be interesting to see if the Dodgers would approach them with some sort of a deal to land a more stable rotation head to pair with Hill and Kershaw.

Getting Forsythe in a 1 for 1 could prove to be even more brilliant than before. I wouldn't put it past LAD to chime in for Quintana, but if there's this big bidding war they'll probably see themselves out. Stros have been kicking the tires on Quintana for a while so I imagine they've laid at least some groundwork, but yeah, LAD's off-loaded their share of young pitching from the farm since last year's deadline..don't know why the CHISox would make a trade without checking in with them 1st. No telling who's available at this point.

I'm curious if the Sox.... or Dodgers for that matter... would look at some sort of deal headlined by Buehler and Calhoun, with something along the lines of a Thompson/Toles and Lux. Potential front of rotation arm, Starting 2b or DH, Starting OF'er, high upside SS prospect. There was a rumor early in the offseason that the Sox were thinking of circling back around on Thompson. It is fairly obvious that the Sox are not planning on competing for a couple seasons, so it would be interesting to see what type of player they are targeting. I'm not including either of the big Cuban prospects as the team trading them after paying soooo much money is entirely unlikely, as is Puig going in a deal as they are not going to be competing by the end of his contract.

That's a lot to give up, and Quintana is good, but I'd wanna see some of these other offers 1st before I said " hell yeah, do it " for that package because Buehler himself sounds rather beastly. Puig's money is a drop in the bucket for the CHISox, probably one of the main reasons they were hot after him last off-season. Don't really have to be competing for a championship to add Puig, not expensive now and at this rate he's not going to be expensive as a free agent either. Could probably argue that there isn't a team that's currently contending that wants Puig around ( including his current team). What's more important in Puig's case, IMO, is the team atmosphere and the manager, but they're in the business of adding prospects at this point and Puig is basically a prospect, so I feel they should still have interest there. I mean until they move Jose Abreu, I'm not buying that Puig can't be added.

I can imagine Calhoun being sent out..wouldn't shock me if all the noise and ink regarding Calhoun and his commitment, work habits, etc. were done with some thought to trading him..dressing him up a bit. And then of course he's just a good fit for the AL. It'd be interesting to see what kind of value Austin Barnes has. The most I'd offer, without knowing what everyone else is offering, is Calhoun/Lux/Puig/and then probably allow them to pick one of White/Imani/May. And they'd probably take White, as hot as he is, so line it up White/Calhoun/Lux/Puig and that's that. Anybody offering more than that..God bless'em. But I'm just not a guy who likes the idea of forking over massive spec packages in return for arms in general. Arms and pitchers in general are just so damn unreliable/unpredictable.

Or maybe White/Calhoun/Barnes/Lux + Puig for Quintana
    Get'er done that way
Figure out what to do at backup catcher, but shit, that's not a massive problem seeing as how LAD currently has an all-star caliber backstop
CHISox have Zack Collins coming, but he may not be able to stay catcher, so maybe Barnes would intrigue them
