Triunfel is coming up. Arri is on the DL, and Guerrero: he must really suck.

Seriously, if the Dodgers are willing to call up Triunfel over Guerrero, then Guerreros bat must be god awful at the moment which is concerning at his age

He's still .320 for the season in the minors, so IDK

He's hitting over .300 so I don't think that's the issue and it may just be that they don't want to use up his Arb years like I wrote in regards to Joc.

Yeah I thought he did too, then remembered last week. The person who should feel stupid is Ned/FO if they're wasting a year.

BTW --- Ned giving up Jes Valentin (2012 1st rd. pick) as one of the PTBNL's for Hernandez/Carmona is a FUCKING JOKE

He's young which sucks but he does play 2nd which is a position of depth and he's been in Low A for a year and a half.

There may be no Beckett because he'll most likely retire so if Hernandez continues to improve we'll have to re-sign him. What we give up for Correia is the bigger deal to me because more likely to be a rental.

Wonder what would have happened if all these injuries occurred before the deadline. We might have Price or Lester right now. Might also be without Joc though

Correia will cost nothing in return, but I knew Hernandez would be worth some value prospects wise and what do you know Ned gave up too much value on top of that.

I doubt either Correia or Hernandez are Dodgers next year.

You may be right, but scouting had him graded out at 45 overall, so it isn't like they saw him as the future answer to anything. I understand the Ned hate but it's not like we were gonna get Tulo for him.

    On the flip side:

Imagine if we were in our current situation and had justin Germano or some shit pitching for us, and we found out we didn't have Roberto Hernandez because Ned held out to keep Valentin. I would imagine we'd be mocking him

Odds Valentin being a major leaguer is basically the same as Tony Abreu, Chin Lung Hu and Ivan DeJesus.
Im indifferent about the trade although I did like his potential

Billingsley could be a cheap option to bring back. He should be ready for next season.

In order for that to happen we'd have to release him and re-sign him. He has a 14 million dollar option and a 3 million buy-out.
