It’s because their bullpen is insanely deep/good. They’re in a position where they only need like 3 innings from their starter and then can go to the pen to lock things down. Only thing is that, yes it does have a bunch of good guys, but they haven’t been clicking all together yet. Chapman, Betances, Robertson, Green, Khanle and Warren... that’s a tough pen to put together a rally on.

I would pick us over Colorado & Washington. I think the Dbacks and Cubs would beat us.

No doubt who Indians fans are rooting for....can't see a scenario where they lose 3 games to the Twins. Can definitely see the Yankees beating them.

They just seem like the team that's gonna take us down.

Throw aside them winning while we sucked, they're still a damn good team. Everyone always said they needed pitching to go along with their hitting, and they got it. Throw in JD Martinez knocking the fuck outta the ball, that possible series could be the toughest and it's right up first.

But it was never gonna be easy.

Have you seen the way Don't Care has been hitting lately? I don't share your confidence.

By far the best prediction, shit´s not even worth thinking about. God bless Vegas and their attempt @ odds-making..I´m not even gonna try and predict a post season baseball bracket. MLB post season known far and wide for it´s fuckery and crap shoot outcomes, especially in this era, no thanks. So here goes..

OBVIOUSLY not wishing it to happen or rooting for it in ANY way but I agree with your assessment. Not going to lie while I am unafraid of the potential opponents I am so used to disappointment (28 years) that I have an uneasy feeling about the playoffs.

Send them every OF in the system not named Puig.
We can get some middle infielder to play CF if we need to.
Hey, we already have that infielder so we are good to go.

i didn't like that guy at all
one of the reasons i stopped posting there
fucken indignant know it all ckunt
i remember him getting all pissy when i corrected him on a mistake he made translating latin
i would have let it go, but he kept going on about "well, that's the literal meaning"
    so i lit him up
fucken passive/aggressive douche then plays the "are you made at me?" role
lost what little respect i had for that bkitch at that point

Guarantee that Jeter moves him after those remarks, or at least tries very hard too. He is going to try to integrate the Yankees philosophy into that franchise and I am sure it will come with some growing pains. So for shits here would be my proposal:
Stanton and Brad Ziegler (34 Mil 2018), plus 2.5 million dollars a year through the remaining length of Giancarlo's contract for
Scott Kazmir (1 yr 17.6 Mil), Adrian Gonzalez( 1 yr 23.3 Mil), Ryu ( 1 Yr 7.8 Mil), CF Prospect Alex Verdugo, RHP Prospect Yadier Alvarez, C Prospect Will Smith, 3B/1B Prospect Edwin Rios. SP Prospect Dennis Santana.

So basically 41 Million in salary dump and another 8 mil for Ryu who could be a decent trade chip at the deadline. The Dodgers would get another 17.5 Mil in salary flexibility in 2018 while having a complete OF for at least through 2019 which makes Verdugo expendable and gives the organization time to develop Kendall, Peters or anyone else that comes along. The prospects are rated in our system 2,3,8,12,16, though both 12 & 16 should see a jump and they all grade out as:
Verdugo a potential AS ceiling OF'er, most likely above average regular
Alvarez ceiling is top of the rotation starter, more likely a elite reliever
Smith ceiling is that of a lower tier first level starting catcher, most likely second level starting catcher or top flight defense first backup
Rios ceiling is that of a second-level 1B, HR Bat poor glove 3B/LF or second tier DH, most likely big bench bat that will give you innings at 3B/LF/1B, but his upside is growing by the season and may sit closer to his ceiling.
Santana ceiling is a mid rotation starting pitcher, most likely back of rotation innings eater or above average backend reliever.

I tried to do a deal that I think would hurt and losing basically our two best MiLB bats, two big arms and a high floor catching prospect. That is 3, maybe 4 top 100 prospects to get Stanton and take on roughly 219 million dollars in payroll over the next 10 seasons. Miami probably doesn't do that deal, but I don't see how you could do much more than that with our payroll limitations.
