Regardless Kershaw will retire a Dodger. I am sure he won' opt out for more cash. He has always been a class act except playoff time:babylmfao::fuckthis:

    • Signing Jake Arrieta would figure to be a long shot for the Dodgers in the same sense inking Darvish was also unlikely. If Arrieta were to find there is not a market for him, then perhaps Los Angeles could pounce on a bargain deal. Alex Cobb is someone the Dodgers were linked to last March as a trade target. The 30-year-old went 12-10 with a 3.66 ERA, 4.16 FIP and 1.22 WHIP last year, his sixth season with the Rays. Lance Lynn rejected the $17.4 million qualifying offer from the St. Louis Cardinals, which may also make him an unlikely candidate to sign with the Dodgers because of compensation ramifications.Like Cobb, Jake Odorizzi has been with the Rays and once was connected to trade talks involving the Dodgers. Odorizzi also profiles as a back-of-the rotation starter, which the team isn’t in need of.

If we are not planning to spend on a front of the order SP, then we better have a ton load of talented BP help, middle relief that can pitch 3-4 innings, 8th inning guys that can also close now and then especially.

It’s not but when a top 50 player in the MLB is delaying his free agency because he wants to sign with you, and you’re a major market team, it’s risky to tell him to kick rocks to go after a bigger fish in 10 months. I get it and if it works they hit it out the park, but it could look bad in hindsight.

If it was the league’s MVP waiting around for us and we didn’t pull the trigger, then I’d call it annoying.

IMO, the degree to which people are sad we didn’t sign Yu Darvish is crazy. Darvish shit the bed like a blind, arthritic 16-year old Rottweiler with parvo who ate week-old chicken out of the garbage.

    Nah.
Thats the feelings of a bitch franchise.
Dodgers dont beg. They know how to deal from strength now.
Hail the nerds. They know how to plan their revenge.
Bullies will turn into bitch ass franchises in front of their eyes.

I was back an forth signing Darvish......I don't feel confident with the starting rotation that it appears MGT is going to go with next year, but I also was very leery of resigning Darvish because it meant that Honey would need to "fix" him before he is effective....not sure that is possible. I still think MGT needs to toss some of the prospects not named Behuler at the DRays for Archer. I think he would be a great compliment to Kershaw.....and lets all remember Kershaw is NOT getting any younger.

    There's risk in everything, right?
They got into talks with the WSox about Sale last off-season and told the Sox to kick rocks because they wanted Bellinger.
    That's turned out OK.
Ditto for Seager and all the Tampa/Price/Philly/Hamels trade noise from years back..not trading him could've looked bad in hindsight.
If it is meant to be, it will be
