Guess the Dodgers are totally cool with the fact that the Astros and Red Sox are significantly better than us.

The way other teams have improved in the other division I don’t see how we will make another post season showing and even if we do

We will be overmatched by the Super Teams of the American League

Doesn't sound like they were ever really in. They never made an offer and I think they were majorly turned off by his attitude in the playoffs.

    Not true, from their perspective....

Dodgers led in attendance and had every possible home game in their stadium. GuGGs wins, we lose

Honestly not broken up about LeMahieu. As I mentioned earlier in the offseason, his bat looked slow and he was overmatched by good pitching. Dude can't hit out of Coors and couldn't either before joining the club. Too many red flags on him.

I also see these guys like LeMahieu signing these reasonable contracts and makes me seriously doubt if the Dodgers were even interested at all.

Only player I am interested in is Harper. I was not to impressed with Machado. He is talented but he is not in the same category as Manny Ramirez lethal bat. But his defense was awesome and that rocket arm I cannot knock

Would I want Machado yes but Harper has a better head on his shoulders

At this point I would take

    Harper
    Flores
because of his versatility to play shortstop and rh bat got some pop still young

Well so much for DJ, oh well, guess 2nd is not a need for us. Makes some sense that we would want a combo of Muncy/Talor/Kike manning the position but I thought he' be a great fit. We are so lefty dominant as a team however. Mr. Harrison the only guy out there now? I wasn't too worried yesterday but losing out on DJ weakened my resolve slightly.

I think people kept saying the Dodgers from their early interest, but like I had said everything seemed to be around the time Zaidi was still with the club as all the reports were "the Dodgers have shown interest in the past" type stuff. Taylor was a marginal upgrade over Taylor based on some metrics, so I think after Zaidi left, the FO decided on big game hunting only since they have solid depth everywhere else.

Right now we have all of 1 impact RH bat on our team and that bothers me so much.

If Marwin Gonzalez is the choice, that would really piss me off as 2017 is likely an outlier, not the norm. Not to mention, there is a ton of redundancy with him, Taylor and Hernandez.

I'm one of those guys who likes to sign players that play well against us so Marwin was on my radar but a small blip. I get that you didn't like DJ but I just felt his defense was more valuable than his offense and we need right handed hitters badly imo.

Honestly what I saw in LeMahieu was a good defender who did a lot of things that guys on our current team don't like put the ball in play and not strike out a ton swinging for HRs all the time.
