Martin is expected to be the backup
I loved Martin's attitude as a player, so I gladly welcome him back. He's one of the last catchers who wanted to make the hard contact play at the plate.
Russ back-up yeah primarily but he also played several positions last year. Still in play for Realmuto but that's a side note because Russ will still be a back up.
I wish we would've acquired Scooter Gennett or signed Jed Lowrie to handle 2B and some occasional SS. I just want a couple players who can actually hit with some volume and consistency. The 2018 Dodgers were almost unwatchable.
Mine is at the Salvation Army
Can't wait for NZ to check in ( certainly wish he would...definitely could use some of his humour these days) from the South Pacific on our latest move...the return of Jeena. Or is it Geena?
Ala Verga at this rate we may get Piazza back
Neck to neck race risp
This cunt again
I'm oddly excited about the return of J-Mart. He caught 71 games last year, if we can get 60-70 games from him that would be awesome. Barnes and Martin is the kind of catcher combo that I wanted.
I can hear in my minds ear Vinny saying, " his father was a busker on the streets "...
LOL!!!!! So now we are paying in prospects instead of just paying the $$$. Fuck everything about this offseason and way of thinking
Los Angeles Rays indeed
Brito was made expendable with the Downs acquisition. Lux/Downs, and possibly Robinson were ahead of him.
Just wait til the 2019 Dodgers, we are gonna wish they were boring like the 2018 team
You like that " can't break through the Mendoza line" type, eh? Well, now we've got that in stereo..
LOL you guys are killing me......stop writing this team off. If it were not for dumb coaching in game 7 (I suspect Freeman had a hand in it as well) 2017 would have been our year. I will give MGT a bit more time before I write them off this year.
My first thought of this acquisition was we just acquired a really old version of Austin Barnes.
