Random, totally out there, never going to happen idea. So Nick Castellanos has been said to have asked for a trade now and his agent is saying this since they believe it was going to happen anyway. IF the Dodgers really are in on Realmuto and IF Nightengale was right in that the team has a few more trades it would like to pull off before the start of ST and IF the team still has plans to move Joc Pederson... I wonder if the Dodgers (who have been linked to Castellanos this offseason) could look at bringing him in if they are thinking that it is going to cost them Verdugo to get Realmuto. Platooning on the squad would be mostly dead and could run a lineup of LRLR with Realmuto, Pollock and Turner from the right side, with Seager, Muncy and Bellinger from the left. I think in pulling something like this off, the prospects you lose could pretty much be Verdugo on the high impact scale and some more mid-level guys since I could see Barnes also going back in a Realmuto swap to lessen the load. Like I said, probably never going to happen, but could be something to think about if the team does indeed move Verdugo.

 

In fairness, it's a diversified group of white. You got Southern White, West-Coast White, Ginger White, Half-Hispanic White, Canadian White...

 

...and half of Martin.

 

I'm surprised Russell didn't ask for a DNA test.

 

Yeah I'm not the only one thinking that obtaining Harper will prove problematic

Obtaining Realmuto seems daunting but necessary losing Grandal and if we're not going after Harper, based upon signing Pollock, then re-signing Manny again feels like an overall team improvement.

But then Castellanos defense is a problem @ 3b and LF from reading everything about him he is better fitted to an American League Team as a DH but how much could he improve with more reps?

Maybe if they dropped there asking price as the GM has been frustrated by the lack of offers and earning 9 million and would be a rental player not requiring a high level prospect


What are your thoughts?

 

Resigning Manny would be my choice & a trade of Realmuto would make this an A plus season

 

Would of preferred Harper With the Pollock deal they have spoken
