Let him leave. He’s always hurt, doesn’t even have average velocity, we already have that bullshit Kershaw contract and have Buehler, Urias and May for the long haul. Just enjoy this season IMO

That's fair about Kershaw but the others you mention don't have to be paid for at least another 4 years. Rich Hill won't be re-signed if there is a God so we'll still need starters.

    well-deserved
    • Dodgers left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu was honored as the National League Player of the Week on Monday. Ryu took home the honors for the first time in his career after throwing 17 scoreless innings with 15 strikeouts, one walk and only five hits allowed over two starts. On Tuesday Ryu tossed a 93-pitch shutout vs. the Braves in which he allowed only four hits. The southpaw then flirted with a no-hitter on Sunday, holding the Nationals hitless for 7 1/3 innings as part of another scoreless gem. Ryu becomes the second Dodger to be named NL Player of the Week this season, joining Cody Bellinger, who won in April.

He's been succeeding with the velocity his entire career. Least of my concerns with Ryu.

Pitchers with velocity issues fall off a cliff when they lose velocity. 91 to 88 is a career ender, 96 to 93 isn’t. It should be one of your primary concerns.

Lol if Ryu misses the mediocre money train. GG MFs have paid an assortment of mediocre individuals..Ryu wants his $50M.

You now I mentioned money figures not Hyun-Jin right? IF he continues his pace he will get paid, I'd rather it by us.

He's both excelled and sucked enough in his career, he's now well into his 30's, he's always hurt and the Dodgers don't need him. He's the perfect Dodger signing. Slap $50M on him. It's a lock.

The velo concerns would worry me more if LAD had a bunch of other guys like him in the rotation. This is where team construction could play a major role in decision making. That LAD has a group of flamethrowing kids that sit 95 and 96+, Ryu could be a fine soft-tossing change up in that setting.

You've got a point, but probably will get Maddux as an example of the type of pitcher he could morph into...
Of course, there is only one Professor, and comparisons to him for Ryu are a wee bit premature, imo.
But if there is one guy who may be capable of doing it, it's HJR.
    I hope so.
I have zero to base it on, but I think he would want to stay in LA. For many reasons.

I mean there is a video and police saw it and arrested him and there are witnesses. I know they say you shouldn’t assume but it seems pretty cut and dry

grabbing a woman is going to get him arrested, in fact ANY contact whatsoever and the cops are going to arrest
just because there's a video and witnesses doesn't mean shit when it comes to the passion that can exist between two people
if he hauled off and punched her in the face then string him up by his balls since no man should be allowed to do that
but an argument presumably between two lovers/companions/adults isn't something that should end up in the courts
pretty sure he pushed her and that's definitely NOT ok and yet his significant other (if thats who it is) wants no part of pressing charges
is it possible she spit at him or incited any of his frustration?
pretty sure any man who's been around women knows they don't always play by the rules
sometimes you just want to LEAVE and the bitch won't get out of the way or shut the fuck up what then?
is it possible he just wanted it to be over and was trying to do the right thing by leaving?
of course i'm biased toward the kid but seriously can't we at least wait until the facts come out first?

I was arrested for beating up and kidnapping a kid on the street.
Cops said a person in a house saw me grabbing and kid and struggling with him to get him into my car.
It was my nephew who has learning disabilities and who would wander off whenever his mom visited us and they got into a fight for whatever reason. The kid was combative when he did not get his way and his mom was a senior citizen and could not really do anything with him because he would get violent and is very strong for a wiry skinny kid. Well he's a chubby 30 something now.
But back then when he was like 9 or so I got hauled off to jail for being the one who found him a mile away from the house when he stormed off saying he was going to 'run away'. I had to grab him and drag him into the car literally kicking and screaming.
So yeah, it looked bad to someone who had no idea of the situation.
I got let go eventually but got my ass beat and my hand jacked up by the arresting officer while I 'resisted arrest' trying to explain to him that he was letting my special needs nephew get away.
So I can give Urias the benefit of the doubt.
That and I have seen women who are not women trying to bait men into aggression.
If you are a dude and you square up on a woman you are not a man.
If you are a woman and you purposefully pick a fight with a man you are not a woman.
    Both of you are fags.

In the 50's the #1 song in mexico has a title that essentially means "Sometimes you just gotta hit your woman... if you truly love her".
If you truly love your kids you have to discipline them, right?
We all are programmed to love discipline.
Its not just a 50 shades of gray thing.
It is the law of the land.
If you love something fuck letting go.
If you love something you gotta fuck/frak/frick/frock and rock it till it calls you papi.
