The reason so much focus, concern, and anger surrounds Corey, for me, is because of how good he is and how aggravating it is to see him sustain so many injuries. It feels like 2018 and potentially this year are going to be a waste of our best, most pure hitter and a HOF talent. Look at his #s 2015-2017 and what he was poised to do when he found his rhythm this month. If he does that for 7-10 years, he's in the HOF category. I'd take him over any SS in baseball. But the injuries are derailing his carer way too early. When he struggles or gets injured, we are invested in it because of who he is. Yeah, we talk shit on crap players like Taylor and Barnes, but we really have no hope or expectation for them like we do for superstars like Corey. I think we all want to see Corey out together a 7 year stretch like Clayton did as a pitcher. No news yet. Hopefully it isn't as bad as we thought. If he is on the no surgery, 4-6 week timetable, that'd be 'good' news. We don't need him out for 2+ months and then come back struggling to find his groove again.
