Sucks that DC was able to climb back into the WC race. Would have been interesting to see if they'd make Strasburg available for trade. He's on fire right now and has a fairly clean record in the postseason. If the LAD FO really wants to protect Dodger fans, forget extending the netting and get a new #1 on the staff. Postseason Kershaw is scarier than any foul ball.

And the Nats may be the scariest potential NL opponent for the Dodgers. Scherzer-Strasburg-Corbin is a damn good 1-2-3 and they are 35-15 in their last 50 games.

I feel like that's a lock if we get there and face the Astros/Yankees. Anyone else and the Dodgers can finally win. Not going to look past the NLDS though

Tbh, I fear the Giants most of all.
Should they get into the post.
I hear/read it time and time again, they were lucky at least two of their three championships. Shouldn't have happened
It would be like deja vu all over again.

We'll be OK, as long as they don't come up against that guy Kelly.
    Or Baez.
    Or Jansen.
    Or Maeda.
    Or Urias.
    Or Floro.
    Or Chargois.
    Or Garcia.
    Or Alexander.
Or if Dave Roberts is manager.
    Then we'll be AOK.

Familiar foes. Luckily for LAD, Scherzer has been known to pull a Kershaw or 2 in the postseason in his time. They probably wouldn't even sniff Stras and Corbin neutralizes LAD's leadoff situation, so jumping on Scherzer could be paramount

Took a look at Stras' career numbers against the Dodgers. Smh Like a hot knife through butter. Dodgers have only mustered up a .582 OPS against him for his career. 250+ plate appearances. A .201 batting average, .257 BABIP. And he's been even better than that @ Dodger Stadium. Sure would be nice to have him pitching for the Dodgers. Throw the kitchen sink at DC and pry him away. They're spinning their wheels there

    Its Disney.
Disney has been sprinkling their little magic pixie dust over everything they touch since the beginning.
I once heard a rumor that Walt Disney was related to the fuhrer.
And his brain has been thawed out and is in use.
Still puling strings from behind the scenes.
That he is the father of today's Iron Man.

Dave Roberts said Dylan floro pitched well today in a simulated game of sorts. Just to let you know, he was pitching against 17 year olds. No joke

So Strip leaves with a stiff neck and Kike leaves with hand pain. Wouldn't be amazing if Lux got the call and so did May. NOT going to happen but I would love it so so much!!!!

This is coming to you from a mountainside villa overlooking Loh Ba Kao Bay in Thailand while my wife naps in the other room. It’s also really weird being like 16 hours ahead of you guys. Some news and notes:

    • Buster Olney has reported that the Dodgers have been kicking around on Edwin Diaz of the Mets who is in the midst of a rough year.
    • Reports are that the Dodgers have been the most aggressive team trying to acquire Felipe Vazquez, but the Pirates have shown no ambition to move him. The offer is said to be fairly substantial.
    • The Dodgers are said to be focusing on every elite level reliever that is said to be on the market, but there are just not all that many. Such names not already mentioned are Brad Hand, Kirby Yates and Will Smith.
    • The club has also shown interest in Mychal Givens of the Orioles.
    • The Pirates are said to be willing to move Keone Kela after a rough start to the year and run in with a clubhouse manager.
    • Speculation is growing that the Mets could be looking to take advantage of so many clubs in the playoff hunt and moving RHP Noah Syndergaard now that Zack Wheeler has shown why it is so dumb to gamble on waiting until the last minute to trade a pitcher with a horrendous track record for staying healthy.
    • The Giants brass are said to now be pushing to move into go for it mode, though rumors are that new president of baseball ops, Farhan Zaidi may not totally agree. Sounds like the ownership is no longer going to allow him to move Madison Bumgarner. Will Smith’s price tag is said to have grown quite high with the Giants big run of late.
    • The Rockies are shopping Charlie Blackmon and maybe some others, but aren’t seeing anything of interest. His HORRENDOUS splits probably have a lot to do with that.
    • The Dodgers farm system is said to garnering a TON of interest not only at the top. Much of the systems top 25-30 current prospects are enjoying solid to great seasons. Names like DJ Peters, Edwin Rios, Zach Reks and Jeter Downs are some names to keep an eye on.
My personal belief is the Dodgers will target the elite names, but likely won’t get one unless prices get more realistic. I think they will target offseason acquisitions that are seeing regressions with new clubs.

Kela is worth a look. And maybe he'll kick Jansen's ass as well

Dodgers have traded for Tyler white from the Astros. Terrible defense and having a bad year offensively but was a realy good hitter the past 2 years

I’ll bet they put Enrique on the DL to put white on the roster. Give him a 10 day tryout essentially. He kinda serves the same purpose as Freese, with the ability to play OF.

And we traded a guy named scrubb that was 6-1 @ AA for him wtf? Basically a first base DH guy. Makes perfect sense.

Never mind I don’t think he should replace Enrique cause now that I think of it, if he replaces Enrique than there’s no backup SS and Muncy is the only 2B

Technically Barnes has played 2nd and JT was there on Tuesday and came up as one. Not ideal but possible.
