    The deal itself is a good one for the Mets. They traded two decent but not too exciting specs for Stroman. However, it’s all about the next steps for them. I agree it’s hard to know wth they’re doin

    The returns on players is super light right now. Diekman, Sogard, and Stroman are all useful and got traded for very little. Makes me hopeful Dodgers can do some things. At this point, it’s more a matter of who is actually available

    Definitely more hopeful that they can get a trade done. They've been solid at that. Certainly better than their efforts in free agency

    Good lord, woke up to see that pathetic return for Stroman. You make that deal 100 times out of 100 if you’re the Mets. I know Kay is rated highly in their system, but some prospect folks I trust are saying that the Jays got duped. Liking that the prospect returns have been light so far, but still sounds like Syndergaard will be a reach if Urias, Margot and Hedges really are in play there. That would be an instant defensive overhaul for the Mets, though light hitting would be an understatement. Wouldn’t be shocked if Morejon’s name was also floated in these talks as the Padres are probably desperate.

    You know who is available and is a good fit to play backup middle infield? Jonathan Villar LOL

    Orioles actually have a couple middle infielders in Villar/Alberto who could pair nice with Givens/Fry

    I’m not sure how good Givens actually is but a trade for one reliever and one middle infielder shouldn’t hurt much and could actually help, especially with uncertainty on how Enrique and Taylor will bounce back
