Don't give a flying f*CK about Boston or their people. Never have. Certainly can't give a f*CK now after what they pulled.

Not sweating the team moving Wong at all. He was very expendable. We still have Ruiz and Cartaya, along with Smith. All 3 are projected MUCH higher than Wong. Losing Downs hurts, but replacing him with Graterol is a better win now move as our bullpen is not going to be easy to navigate for opposing hitters.

Raley gives the club more immediate OF depth. He is not projected to be more than a bench bat, but the dude has raked ever since he was drafted. BA had him ranked as the Twins #24 prospect with ++ raw power. Bad ankle injury last year knocked him out early.

Giants. Their roster is shit and I am guessing now that Bochy is not around, Farhan may be able to sell off guys at the deadline this year and then can tank. Hard to see Pence match his huge turnaround last year and the Giants roster is just getting older and not in the good way. For the Rockies, they at least have stars in their primes in Story and Arenado, plus if Rodgers settles back in, they could have a tough 2,3,4. I could also see their young pitching comeback somewhat. They won't challenge for the division.

Gonna bet that we blew through the tax with these changes and they just said, "fuck it, let it ride."

Graterol specifically being groomed to pitch as an opener in the first game when the Dodgers play the Astros. Then he will be taken out and sent down or the BP or wherever. One can only hope it is Altuve.
    I had a dream.

Pence is in the wrong league. He can't play in the field.

On the bright side, he's in the right city. He's a full blown (pun intended) bone smuggler.

Eric Stephen just pointed out that the Dodgers need to clear 2 40-man spots now as Graterol and Raley are on the 40-man. I would expect to see another trade.

Now Heyman is saying that the Angels trade was contingent on the ORIGINAL Betts trade parameters. After this, it was no longer needed. This does not make a whole lot of sense to me unless the prospects from the Angels were relievers.

If Joc is actually staying - fantastic. Don't really need to get rid of reliable postseason production at this point. Another bat to go ahead of Belli and Seager

Hmm... the luxury tax hit wasn’t any different between the first and second deal, so I’m not sure if that was the reasoning.

However, the Muncy and Taylor contracts happened between the two deals, and I think those contracts were going to make it hard to get under the tax with just the Joc deal.
